Two of probably Ireland’s most attractive holiday-homes. Romantic, thatched cottages in most panoramic surroundings at the foot of Ireland’s highest mountains on the famous 'Ring of Kerry' walk, far away from the traffic, noise and hustle of modern times. Enjoy the splendid view of Dingle Bay, mountains, beaches and Glenbeigh castle. Large garden (garden furniture) with lawns, flower-beds and ample parking-space. 3 bedrooms, sauna with additional shower; sitting-room with Sat.-TV(Irish and German)) and open fire; kitchen cum dining-room with oven, fridge and dish-washer; utility-room with washing-machine, dryer and micro-wave. Oil-fired central-heating, own wells. Non-smoker house. No pets. Breakages deposit EUR 250. The houses are owned by a German-Irish couple, you have the option of the according languages. The house is suitable for up to 5 people including max.2 children. It is always very well booked, so that bookings need to be placed early.

Golf, fishing & swimming: This must be a golfer’s heaven. Three of the Irish top -five courses are at hand: 'Dooks '(18 holes, par 71,5582 m) just outside the village, Mahoneys point and Killeen in Waterville(37 km).Furthermore there are two internationally renowned links in Watervillé (37 km)and Tralee(50 km),but on top of that literally every village has its own course i.e. Killorglin(14 km)or Beaufort (20 km). Fishing: great sports for Salmon and sea-trout on the local Caragh river and lake as well as the internationally reputed Waterville Lake(37 km).Good seasonal fishing for sea-bass and flatfish on the local 'Rossbeigh beach 'or in Waterville(37 km),St. Fintan’s Bay(35 km)or Inch (70 km). In autumn mackrele and pollock from the cliffs in Kells (15 km) Rossbeigh Beach in Glenbeigh is 6 km long, very safe, top-quality 'Blue flag' and supervised in peak-times.

This house contains 3 bedrooms with a)a 1,40 m French double- bed and a bathroom en suite as well as b) a bedroom with two singles and adjacent bathroom (bath and shower) on the upper floor and c)a third bedroom en suite with 2 singles on the ground floor. On that floor you also find the hall, a sitting-room with Sat-TV (mainly German and Irish), open fire and a panoramic door leading onto the patio, both places with a fantastic sea-view. Furthermore, we have the sauna with another shower and the dining-room with an old rustic table and chairs cum handcrafted, fitted kitchen with oven, fridge, dishwasher etc. Finally you enter the utility-room with washing-machine, dryer, deep- freeze and a micro-wave. The house is supplied by its own mountain-well and an oil-fired central heating. Outside you find the patio, a picnic-table, large lawns, and flower beds and hidden behind a hedge a garden-house with garden-furniture .There is ample parking-space. Ideal for up to 5 adults (+child)

Gerne wieder, tolle Lage

Wir waren im roten Haus mit dem tollen Wintergarten. Das war sein Geld wert. Gerade im Herbst war dies super schön. Das wechselnde Wetter von Regen, Regenbogen, Sonne und Nebel am morgen, war ein tolles Schauspiel. Tolle Lage, prima gemütliches Haus und sehr gut für Erkundungen in die Region. Besten Dank an Ann für Torf und Feuerholz. Wir empgehlen das Haus und kommen auch gern selbst wieder. Danke Familie Pape

Top Haus mit tollem Blick

Gern schreiben wir für ein solches Haus eine Bewertung. Nach etwas suchen haben wir das Haus dann fast schon im Dunkeln gefunden. Es liegt versteckt am Berg in einer total einsamen Sackgasse auf einem privaten, eingezäunten Grundstück, weit ab von jeglichen touristischen Pfaden. Wir haben uns gleich wie zu Hause gefühlt. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und hat viele Dinge, die wir nicht erwartet haben in einem Ferienhaus. Besonders macht das Cottage, der Kamin und der tolle Blick über die Bucht weit rüber auf die Dingle Halbinsel. Wir haben abends bei deutschen Sendern die Kerzen und den Kamin angemacht und einen guten Irischen Whisky getrunken. So haben wir uns die Ferien vorgestellt. Leider hatten wahrscheinlich wegen des hohen Berges nur eine sehr schlechten Handyempfang. War aber nicht schlimm, so hat uns nichts gestört und wir konnten die Ruhe (Blöcken der Schafe war das lauteste Geräusch) genießen. Der Weg in den Pub vom Towers Hotel ist für normale „Wandervögel“ machbar und auf dem Rückweg bergauf, kann man das ein oder andere Guinness bereits wieder abtrainieren. Besonders haben uns unsere Ausflüge nach Glenleam Gärten auf Valentia Island und in den Garten nach Kells gefallen. Die Vegetation dort ist einfach beeindruckend, selbst im März. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt noch mal wieder. Sorry, das wir die Pfanne angebrannt haben. Herzlichen Dank für alles. Familie K aus Stuttgart

Es war soooo toll. Vielen Dank für eine wunderschöne Woche. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Am offenem Kamin im Oktober am Abend, in geselliger Runde spielen und dabei die niedlichen Hasen beobachten war wirklich erholsam. Besonders beeidruck hat uns die abgeschiedene Lage des Hauses mit dem faszinierendem Meerblick. Die Betten war sehr gemütlich und nach einem langen Reisetag haben wir einmal die Sauna probiert. Danke für einen tollen Urlaub und die sehr gute Beratung bezüglich Reisetips in der Region.

Die Lage des Hauses ist Traumhaft, Blick aufs Meer, direkt am Ring of Kerry.
Ideal für Tagesausflüge: Ring of Kerra, Ring of Beara, Dingle Island.
Jedes Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein Badezimmer, Kamin, Sauna, Waschmaschine, Trockner, Gefrierschrank, Kühlschrank, Backofen, Kaffemaschine, deutsches SAT-TV + irisches TV. Es ist alles da, was man braucht.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
