We really enjoyed our visit to Hana and our stay in the Hana Cabana. The cabana is beautifully located in a tropical garden surrounded by forest. It is clean, tastefully decorated, a bit dated perhaps, but comfortable and charming. There are creatures, plenty mosquitoes outdoors in the evening, but repellent helped, some bugs indoors, but what you would expect from cabin in the woods. Lots of geckos, but we have them where we live as well, so they were not much bother either, ( their waste is another matter, present in large amounts in certain areas throughout the cabana). Loved the hot tub, a great start and end to each day! We made use of the barbeque also, but it needs repairing or replaced as it did not work well and the grill itself needs cleaned or replaced. We liked the friendly dogs who dogs greeted us upon arrival, but we did not like having to dodge their poop piles when walking the property and our first night was none to peaceful, due to non-stop barking that went on for hours. Thank-fully second night was quiet, nothing but the rain, gentle breezes & gecko chatter. Overall nice place, charming, clean, and stocked with everything one needs. I would clean up after and supervise dogs a bit closer, be a little more diligent cleaning up after geckos indoors & make minor repairs/replace what isn't in 100% working condition
