With Vacation rentals like this, why on earth would you stay at a hotel?
We are frequent users of vacation rentals, probably 5 in the last 3 years. Without a doubt, this was the nicest rental we have ever had the pleasure of staying at. It is clear that the owners have taken great pains to make this location perfect. My wife and I came to palm springs to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary and to do some exploring of Joshua Tree National Park. This home is authentic and incredibly well appointed. All the furnishings and appliances are high class and work great. The AC worked great, and we found setting it at 80 made for a perfect temp in the house. The house feels like a home, not a commercial property full of industrial feeling indestructible furnishings. The backyard, where we spent most of our time, is simply gorgeous. Ocotillo, Barrel Cactus and Citrus trees are the perfect surroundings while you relax in the hot tub or sup a cocktail by the fire. The outdoor table area was perfect for Margaritas and Tacos after a day exploring Joshua Tree. I will have to disagree with one of the other posts and say that Jensens is overpriced and underwhelming. We did our grocery shopping there and it was frankly one of our only regrets of the entire trip. If you are flying in, and plan on renting a car, choose a 4WD and spend a day in Joshua Tree. I suggest driving Geology Tour Road and Berdoo Canyon. We brought our own 4wd and had an absolute blast in a national treasure that is under appreciated.

Owner's Response: Dear Thomas,
Thank you so much for your glowing review - and congratulations on 9 years of marriage! What an honor to have you celebrate at our home. We particularly appreciate your notice of the "great pains" we have gone to make the home a home, with great amenities. Actually, it is our home every chance we get and we tend to believe others prefer comfy surroundings, appliances and amenities that scream "We totally deserve this vacation of luxury"! We've taken note of your suggestion of tacos under the table canopy after a great day at Joshua Tree and we're adding it to our next "gotta do" vacation list. We hope you and your wife make celebrating your anniversary with us an annual event! All the best for year 10! Kris and Val
