Very nice property, particularly for families with relatively young children such as ours (3 and 6 years old).

It was well childproofed (ex. the main gate out of the patio to the street cannot be opened except from inside the house so a young child can't wander onto the street). The three bedrooms gave plenty of sleeping space and each of our children was able to sleep in his/her "own" room. The house is quiet, and even though there were dogs and swallows in the neighbourhood as others have mentioned, we slept well. The living spaces are wide, the kitchen well equipped and the house feels very comfy, and we felt very at home, so much so that we were able to easily entertain a couple of our Lisbon friends for an evening BBQ supper. The location is great - a 5 min walk to the beach, 5 min walking distance to the nearest supermarket and 20-30 minutes from Lisbon depending on how you drive. It allowed us to do beach, Lisbon and to travel around from a very nice home base.

Our experience with the caretakers was equally good, and a few small details where we needed help (dishwasher out wasn't connected, internet router needed rebooting) were dealt with promptly and in no way interrupting our enjoyment. They spoke English though we did all our communicating in Portuguese.

A car is not essential if you are planning on just going to the closest beach the whole time, but you are not in the middle of Lisbon either. We sure appreciated having one. Street parking was not a problem.

We had a lovely week in June, the flowers and the bird live was amazing.
The villa was clean and spacious with all modcons and our welcome was warm and helpful.
The easiest way to get to Lisnon is by ferry from Trafaria then a bus or a tram into the city centre no parking problems!!
Good base for exploring the country.
The local dogs are very vocal especially in the early hours of the morning.If driving make sure you go via the ponte 25th.April and NOT the ponte Vasco Da Gama you could get seriously lost!!

We had a wonderful stay in Portugal. The house was great, very well equipped with TV, internet, washing machine, dishwasher... all things that make your holiday even more confortable.
The house is clean, spacious etc. and even when you decide to stay home for a day, you won't be on top of each other. It's nicely situated in a small villa area in a park next to the beach. Google earth will give you a good view of the location).

The reception was very warm and the person was available all week for information, fix problems, questions etc.

We enjoyed be beach which is at 300 mtrs and even had a swim. The surrounings aren'r very touristical but you can find loads of small, typical Portuguese restaurants, in many of them they only speak Portuguese, but that wasn't an issue.

Lisbon is a very nice town and we did a lot of sightseeing and this house is very well situated for day trips. But if you go by car don't leave too early or you'll be in the traffic jam to cross the bridge. Once over the bridge, get off the motoway, park the car and enjoy Lison by foot, bus, tram etc.

The only annoying thing was that the dogs in the neighborhood kept waking us up a lot the first couple of nights.

Very friendly, flexible, and helpful owners, which made the check in and check out process very easy. The villa is lovely, and the location is great because it feels many miles away from the city but you can be in the city very quickly if you want to.

You will need to speak a little bit of basic Portuguese to make the most of your holiday. Make sure you get a map of Costa da Caparica, and take it with you when you go out- you may need to point to the street if asking a taxi driver to take you there- they don't seem to be able to find it even with satellite navigation.

There is a small supermarket within five minutes' walk and a larger Spar within 10 minutes' walk. It took 20 minutes of fast walking to get to the main restaurant areas in Costa da Caparica. If you want to kite surf you can easily do it without a car, but if you are going frequently you may want to consider hiring a car: to get to the authorised kite beach without a car you need to rely on the tourist train (which is a great experience). The last train leaves at 19:00 and taxis are reluctant to drive down the dirt road to the beach. I think the train only runs July to September.

My family and I were very pleased when we arrived at the villa. We got there 2 days earlier and it was not a problem. Catarina was very helpful and the property was just as we had read about! It was very spacious and cosy and extremely child friendly - I would definitely be taking my great niece and nephew there.

The property was in excellent condition and very clean and easy to keep it that way. It was close to very good restaurants, bars, entertainment and the beach was 5-10 minutes away.

Unfortunately our car broke down while we were there and we were FORCED (hahaha) to remain there a few extra days. The service we got was exceptional and again Catarina, her mum and the owners mum were very helpful. We would definitely recommend it and we shall be returning, if they have us of course.
