We look forward to returning

We liked your house as soon as we arrived. The pedestrian-only approach is lined with sub tropical flowering plants and the first thing we saw was the huge bougainvillea-hung balcony at the front which proved to be the perfect place for relaxing with a drink after a day´s walking. We were delighted with the modern style of decor and general comfort and cleanliness. There is plenty of room in the house for 4, so for a couple it felt really spacious: finding somewhere to put things was never a problem. The internal courtyard with utility room extends the living space and is so practical. If only all holiday lets had this.
The views from the house are fantastic with the small town of Vallehermoso spread out below and Roque Cano standing proudly above. At night the view is transformed by the twinkling lights of the town.
Vallehermoso itself turned out to be the perfect place to stay with its little square, friendly people and easy access straight from the door to good walks. We would have no reservations in recommending your house to others, but should say that because of the fairly steep walk from the parking area to the house it would not suit everybody. However, we loved it and look forward to returning some day.

y tan agradable menos todavia. Gracias por todo y ya sabes que volveremos.

Lovely property and excellent location

The two of us spent ten nights at Casa Lilia and enjoyed it a great deal. Its an attractive and well-thought out property, with some charming personal touches. I'd say there was plenty of room for a four people, with lots of hot water, good showers, decent washing machine and a big fridge/freezer.
The location is ideal - there are smashing views over the farming terraces - bananas, papayas, and so on - and down to the village centre, and across to the imposing Roque Cano. Convenient and well-stocked Spar supermarket, plus some restaurants, post office and a cash point all about five mins walk away - and there's a petrol station too. We explored the national park, which is close (the roads and signage seem to be in good condition across the La Gomera - reassuring with the twisty roads!) and would recommend that, and also taking advantage of the lovely salt water pool down by playa Vallehermso. We went there for an hour or so most days for a swim and read and it was always quiet - has got a lifeguard and a snack bar - great if you find the Atlantic waves soothing to listen to but a bit challenging for swimming!
Karen, the owner, was very friendly and helpful from our first enquiry - making getting there seem straightforward and hassle-free.
I'd agree with all the other positive comments made in other reviews and would recommend this property.

We have just returned from a week at Casa Lilia in Vallehermosa, La Gomera. The house is lovely, with a pretty inner courtyard and amazing views from the terrace. The house is well-equipped, pleasantly and comfortably furnished, private and quiet. There are lovely walks directly from the village although a car is necessary to fully explore the island. The owner is very helpful, offering good advice and easy to contact.

Get away from it all

We had a very relaxing 10 days on La Gomera. The house was really nice. The owner was really helpful whenever we contacted her. The nights were very cold so I recommend taking English winter pyjamas (unless we just had unseasonable weather). We are not walkers so unlike most visitors to the island we went by car and the roads were fantastic. Staying in Vallehermosa, a car is a good idea. We ate in many restaurants on the island and found the food excellent. The scenery is amazing.

A very relaxing break away from it all.

We booked Casa Lilia at the end of January for 4 days for a short break. The owner, Karen, was totally helpful right from our first enquiry. We phoned her a couple of times during our visit and nothing was too much trouble.
Casa Lilia is a lovely house, very spacious and we equipped. The courtyard is a lovely idea and the front terrace has views to die for.
It´s only a couple of minutes walk to a handful of bars, restaurants and a supermarket. The locals are really pleasant and friendly too. A very relaxing break.

Casa Lilia was wonderful and we loved it, so much so that we are thinking of returning later this year. It´s a very comfortable house and the terrace is just perfect. We liked the island, it´s like stepping back in time.
Thanks for a lovely holiday.

We would recommend this house to our friends

We really enjoyed staying in the apartment. Firstly, it is nicely situated with the view of Vallehermoso and all the exotic plants in the valley. The apartment is very spacious and has a well equiped kitchen. We decided to prepare our meals at home as the choice of fish and fresh vegetables was large at the local supermarket.
We went for walks around the island which were very nice. We will certainly recommend this type of holiday to our friends and of course tell them about the nice apartment we we able to rent.

A fantastic holiday

We arrived in Vallehermoso late in the evening, soit wasn´t until the following morning when, on opening the curtains and shutters we were greeted with the stunning views of this truly beautiful valley, with the sun just beginning to rise over the mountains opposite.
Casa Lilia is ideally situated to make the most of the views, and sitting on the terrace for morning coffee was a real treat. The house is roomy and comfortable, with everything you could ever need for a holiday home, whether eating in the charming interior courtyard, or going to the local restaurants or the very reachable restaurants in nearby towns.
The local Spar supermarket provides you with all you could want and at the little "Mercadillo" just in the Plaza, you can get fresh local fruit and vegetables.

Landhaus Vallehermoso
