Beaches, sea, golf, cricket nearby: Ridge View is centrally located for beaches, the historical Garrison area and horse racing course, restaurants and the St Lawrence Gap and Oistins entertainment areas. It is within easy reach of two golf courses and is well place for supermarkets and other shops. Golf, cricket, sailing, snorkelling, walking, jogging, scuba-diving, surfing, boat charters, fishing and many other activities are all near by.

The three closest beaches are:

Carlisle Bay: wonderful for walking (1 mile long) and swimming. There is also a marine reserve with wrecks and many fish - and often turtles. This can be reached from the shore.

Drill Hall/Hilton: this is a beautiful beach which is used by local surfers and boogie boarders. It is also the main nesting site for turtles on the island. You may see both turtles laying eggs and the eggs hatching and the young turles racing down the the sea.

Accra/Rockley: popular beach - good for enjoying the surf. Boardwalk goes from Accra to Drill Hall.

Private, quiet, peaceful location: We stay at Ridge View each year and check that everything is maintained to a high standard. Based on suggestions from our guests, we have added improvements to make your stay more enjoyable.

Located in a ridge overlooking the south coast, the house has a 180 degree panoramic view. The select development where it is located consists principally of owner-occupied and long-term tenanted properties. It is therefore very quiet and peaceful. It represents a cool, green oasis to return to after a day at the beach. There is also the option of just lazing at home on the veranda or by the pool. The house is fully screened against insects - especially mosquitos.

Near Wanders Cricket Ground and the Oval Cricket Stadium. You can see cricket matches at Wanders from our balcony - bring your binoculars if you are a cricket fan.

The Barbados Yacht Club and the Garrision horse racing track are both very near - you can walk down in the mornings to watch the horses training.
