Great Stay!

We had a great time staying at Roma Romantica which is located very close to Piazza Navona and Via Dei Coronari which is an amazing street that has many unique antique stores. It was great being so close to so many amazing places. Coming home after a long day of travelling the city was great knowing that we were going to have a good night sleep on the comfortable bed. Overall, Roma Romatica was wonderful and in a location close to everything. There is a portable air conditioner in the apartment, however, we liked leaving the windows open to get a nice breeze. The nights can be loud, so if you are a light sleeper, I would recommend that you keep the windows closed and use the air conditioner. I would definitely go back to Roma Romantica!

Beautiful appartment, Perfect Location

My husband and I spent five days in this beautiful apartment which is perfectly located for seeing Rome as it should be seen - on foot.

The owner Susan was fabulous from the moment we booked to the moment we left. We were greeted on arrival and given a very good insight into what to see, where to eat and where all the local amenities were.

The apartment has been very cleverly designed and felt very spacious. It was almost a home from home (except without the stress). Its just perfect. The location is fantastic - just a short walk from the Pantheon and piazza navona - thus making us feel that we were enjoying the true Rome experience.

The holiday was highlighted by the amazing St Peter and St Pauls feast day fireworks which we could see from the apartment but even better four strides out of the house and we were right by the River watching them with the rest of Rome.

I would thoroughly recommend this apartment to any couple visiting Rome.

Thank you Susan and Adrian for everything you did to make our holiday so memorable.

Fantastic Place to Stay

We had a great time visiting Rome (June 2011) and this apartment was a major reason. This apartment is beautifully decorated, clean, spacious, and most importantly in a great location. This apartment met all our needs and it is even nicer than its description.

We walked to all great sites from this place and the few times my parents couldn't walk, we took buses from a nearby terminal. There are also many great stores and restaurants in the vicinity.

We also want to thank the owners and the rental agent for making us feel at home and making sure we are taken care of. They were always there if we had a question or needed something. They also had some great recommendation for restaurants and places to go.

We wholeheartedly recommend this apartment and would stay there again if we go back to Rome.

We stayed at this beautiful and large studio apartment in May 2011 and we thought it was just perfect. The location is fabulous. It's an easy walk to many sites in Rome such as the Ponte Sant'Angelo, Vatican, Piazza Navona, and the Pantheon. Just outside the apartment is a piazza with restaurants and wine bars. Susan and Adrian have paid attention to the details and the apartment is beautiful and well equipped. It's a perfect spot for a holiday in Rome.

The Apartment was Perfect

Submitted: June 13, 2011 Stayed: May 2011
We spent a week in Rome and stayed at this lovely studio apartment on Via de Vecchiarelli, a block from the Tiber, just across from Castel St. Angelo. The apartment is spacious and welcoming. With the fully equipped kitchen, we happily ate breakfast and lunch there, invariably with produce and fresh bread from the nearby open air market at Campo de Fiori, saving our eating out for dinners at one of the many good restaurants recommended by owners of apartment. The location was ideal - the apartment is a short stroll to the bustling Piazza Navona. As tourists who walk virtually everywhere, we found it a great jumping off point for visiting Villa Borghese, the Pantheon, the Museo Capitolini, Roman ruins and the Vatican. For those looking for early morning exercise, runs along the Tiber and up the hills overlooking the City were perfect. Newton Centre, MA

Perfect location and wonderful apartment

We loved everything about our Roman vacation. The property was clean and well-maintained. The gracious owners showed us around the area when we arrived. There were several local guides and maps that helped us chose narrow down what to do while we were there.

We spent 10 days in the apartment and it was always a treat to return to! The bed was incredibly comfortable and I didn't even need the pillow I had so carefully compressed and stuck in my suitcase. The espresso machine that made great coffee in 3 minutes was the only thing that got us up and out early!

The France-based grocery nearby, Carrefour, had a wide selection of wine for a few euros, the cheese was delicious as was the bread and the fresh fruits and vegetables. The biggest surprise was how good the coldcuts were, and we don't generally eat coldcuts.

Wandering about the neighborhood was always an adventure. There were churches every couple of blocks and each one was filled with lovely paintings, sculpture, statues and lovely stone floors of various kinds. Since we were there over Christmas, it was interesting to see the difference of the nativities that had been put up for the holiday.

The area is home to antique shops and restorers; we enjoyed watching the little workshops bring the beautiful pieces back to life. I especially enjoyed watching a weaver repair lovely old Persian rugs.

We didn't appreciate the location until we had been there a day or so and could walk to the Vatican in 10 minutes, and get to the Piazza Navonna in seven. The tempting Gelateria del Teatro was a 2 minute walk from the front door, and we were there once every day.

Without hesitation we would return! When we saw the tub/shower, we were skeptical about how comfortable it would be, but it was fine, with lots of hot water and plenty of big fluffy towels!

Thanks to Susan for providing us with a wonderul holiday!

Perfect getaway for two

We stayed at Roma Romantica for 4 nights in Oct 2010. Our stay here was well beyond our expectations. The location was great, Susan and Adrian were MORE than accommodating and the orientation guide in the apartment was a great as we set out to explore the city. It would cost a small fortune to stay in a hotel that has the ammenities, conveniences and attractions that we enjoyed. We would go back to Roma Romantica in a heart beat!

Perfect Rome Location

We just returned from a 9 day vacation in Rome. The apartment suited our needs perfectly ....fairly priced, spacious, clean, comfortable, well decorated and appointed ..... and best of all ... a terrific location. The Vatican is just a 7 minute walk ... restaurants, shopping, and gelato are just around the corner! Be sure to visit Julian Cafe ... our favorite!

The owners prepared meticulous notes for the the guests with everything from information about the apartment amenities, to area restaurants, emergency contact information, and general information on Rome. The apartment has a mini library on Rome and Italian culture.

Thanks a wonderful stay!

Blissful Honeymoon

5 of 5
Submitted: November 1, 2010 Stayed: September 2009
We stayed at this fabulous apartment for 5 nights on our honeymoon. The apartment itself was perfect -- spotless, sunny and surprisingly quiet at night. The canopy bed makes you feel like you're in a fairy tale, and is very comfortable. We were so exhausted after the wedding that we slept for about 15 hours the first two nights! There was also a little kitchenette which meant we could eat breakfast at home before heading out for the day.

The location is perfect and we literally walked everywhere -- the Vatican, the Spanish Steps, shopping, restaurants. Every day we just headed out the door and had fun getting lost in the beautiful little plazas and narrow winding streets. There were also a ton of fabulous restaurants nearby. After a few over-priced touristy meals, we decided to stick to Susan and Adrian's list of recommendations, and were never disappointed.

I can't say enough about this charming apartment and would definitely recommend it to friends -- especially those looking for a romantic getaway in Rome.
