This is a charming and inviting, well appointed 2 bedroom 2 bath home, with comfortable furnishings, centrally located in a lush and private oasis in the heart of the Historic Movie Colony East neighborhood (formerly Ruth Hardy Park). It's the perfect place for a retired couple escaping the cold of the north, or for 2 couples. Have breakfast on the private patio, with a view of the mountains, take a night time dip in the spa, or relax all day next to the pool. Walk through the neighborhood, past Frank Sinatra's estate, and other historical neighborhood homes. It's an easy 5 minute walk to the park where you can play tennis, volleyball or basketball, and also an easy walk to downtown, the Casino, Convention Center, the design district, restaurants, and coffee shops.
The living room is thoughtfully furnished with a very comfortable sectional sofa and armchairs where you can watch television on the flat screen, or listen to music. The dining room has seating for 6. The kitchen is large, bright and well equipped, with an oven, microwave, gas cook top, side by side refrigerator and a dishwasher.
The house is nicely laid out with good separation between the bedrooms and the living areas. There are two bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. One is a master suite with an en suite bathroom, and a guest bedroom with an adjacent bathroom. There is also a laundry with a gas dryer.
The outdoor spaces consist of an entry courtyard shaded by a huge Canary palm tree as you come in from the carport. At the back of the house there is a covered patio with a glorious view of the mountains with a table and chairs for outdoor dining. The in ground spa is also in this private patio, with easy access from the main living areas. In the front of the house, in a green and private yard is the salt water pool. The entire pool area is surrounded by hedges, so you can relax here in total privacy. The living room and dining areas are open to the outdoors with sliding glass doors, giving you easy access to the pool and spa.
Among the many amenities included, are WiFi, telephone and cable television.
I live in Minneapolis and purchased this property a few years ago. I love coming to the desert and escaping the cold Minnesota winters.
The home is centrally located, in a historic part of Palm Springs and provides easy access to fine dining, shopping and entertainment. It is also a very quiet and well established neighborhood.
Other friends from Minneapolis also have homes in Palm Springs. We've hired Peter, a mutual friend who lives in Palm Springs to manage our properties. We know that when you rent our home, you will be in good hands.
