Comfortable, convenient family rental

We rented this home for my family of five, which includes three young children, to stay in while in town for my sister's wedding. There was plenty of space for all of us and other friends/family who would come by to hang out. The pool, even though it wasn't heated, was a bit hit. We got a lot of use out of the kitchen and used the laundry facilities a couple of times. The mattresses and pillows are of a high quality, which was important to us since we recently stayed at another VRBO (in Colorado) that had terrible mattresses. It really felt like a "home away from home" for us, not merely a crash pad.
The property was in a perfect location for us - midway between Tempe and Old Town Scottsdale. Grocery stores and restaurants are a short drive from the house, and everything we needed seemed easily accessible. The house is on a quiet street, and the neighbors were friendly.
Robin, the owner, was super easy to work with. He responded to emails quickly and provided requested information in a timely manner. The description of the property and photos are very accurate and truthfully convey what the property has to offer.
I would have given this property 4 1/2 stars if that were an option. It's better than "good" but I stopped short of giving it a 5 because of a couple small things: the kitchen wasn't as well equipped as I would have liked (e.g., knives weren't sharp or of a very good quality, limited utensils and kitchenware other than standard flatware, plates, glasses - we ended up borrowing things from my sister), the Internet and cable were a bit spotty, the handle on the front door was broken, and we couldn't find towels anywhere (until we did laundry and found them still in the dryer). Generally minor issues in the grand scheme of things.
Overall, a very solid vacation rental experience. My sister said she will be recommending it to friends with young kids who are visiting, and I will do the same.

The pictures and the last review say it all. Friends and I stayed at this house for a week for a golf tournament. We couldn't have asked for anything more. The location is great. Very private dead end street. Along the back of the house runs an alley so there isn't a house pinned to the backyard. The house is modern and fully equipped with everything you need; cable, wifi, house alarm, keyed entry, garage door entry, washer, dryer, dishwasher, hot tub, pool, and bbq grill.
The house starts with a two car garage that leads into the dinning room. Dinning room sits four and is connected to the kitchen which is equipped to cook anything and has a sweet granite counter top. The kitchen connects to a computer area and the living room which can comfortably sit four on the couches while watching the flat screen television with cable. The computer area is connected to a laundry room and has sliding door access to the backyard. The hall connects the living room to three bedrooms and the main bathroom. Main bathroom is a full bathroom. Two bedrooms are located to the west of the hall and each have a queen bed. The mini master bedroom is located to the east of the hall and has a flat screen tv, its own full bathroom and sliding door access to the backyard. Backyard has a hot tub, swimming pool, bbq grill, lounge area, fire pit and a small patch of grass. From the backyard you can access the master bedroom through a second sliding door at the south end. The master bedroom features a huge walk in closet, a super comfortable king size bed, a flat screen tv, and an amazing bathroom. The master bathroom is beautiful with two sinks, a bath tub, and a glass shower with a huge sunflower shower head.
I enjoyed the huge master bedroom and hot tub. It was nice to come "home" after a full round of golf, hit the hot tub, and refuel while resting on the king sized bed while watching some tv. If I had to knit pick a little I would say the house could be upgraded with televisions in the two smaller bedrooms, a more extensive cable package and a heated pool. Of course thats just me being picky. The house is great. If you decide to stay there you will not be disappointed and Robin is easy to work with and a great owner. Don't miss out.

I have used VRBO several times and by far this home is the finest . The owner spared no expense in this ground up remodel. The beautiful kitchen offered all the necessities needed to make anything from grilled cheese to prime rib. The two master suites at opposite ends of the house offer total privacy. Each has access to the private back yard with its diving pool and hot tub. The Woody's beach club cabana in the back yard offers shade from the sun on those bright days. The large two car garage with openers offer direct entry to the kitchen. This home is suitable for enteraining large parties or a cozy dinner for two.The beds are fine quality and provided superior support for a good nights rest after a long day of golf or the Phoenix Open.This home is truely a VRBO gem. Robin (the owner) has raised the bar for other VRBO properties. I look forward to my next stay at Splendor in Scottsdale.
