Tourists form Italy!
I visited Maine and Acadia national park for the first time with my family this summer and it was a very nice surprise! After two weeks in New York, we travelled all day long to arrive to the small village of Tremont at 11 p.m. we were exhausted. I had spent all the trip imaging what I could find there and I was a bit scared of unexpected surprises ...
I had contacted the owner from Italy and exchanged many emails and submerged her with a lot of questions. Susan, the owner, was so patient and made booking very easy even if we were doing it from Europe with all the problems connected to the distance.
What a nice surprise, everything was fantastic! The cottage was very cozy, all the light were on and this made the place look magical. Everything aws perfect and prepared with attention and elegance. We liked it from the very beginning...The day after, waking up was even better: the sun, the nice view of the woods from the bedrooms, the seagull call and the see with the enormous tides. Susan and Dave were so hospitable, they were always there for any request, they helped not only to plan our stay in Acadia but they even gave suggestions for the rest of our vacation on the east coast of USA.
Now we are back in Italy after the wonderful vacation in the States, we have decided that one day we will visit again Acadia (perhaps in winter time to do some cross-country skiing!), not only because we enjoyed the park but also our stay in this quiet place, far from the crowds of tourist of Bar Harbor in the southern part of the Acadia National Park.
We will recommend it to all our friends in Italy and to anyone reading this review.
Thanks to Susan and Dave for the unforgettable vacation!!!
