Great place to enjoy a wonderful city

New Orleans is an amazing city with so many sites that tell it's story. The transportation is so varied and easy to access, trolleys, horse drawn buggys, tour buses and rental cars if you chose. To make your trip perfect we recommend this Mid City home and all it offers. All of the famous sites are 1 to 5 miles from the house.
We enjoyed eating at the Santa Fe Restaurant that is about a mile away on Espalade. The food, service and prices were great. The French Quarter was exactly as you would expect with Jazz bands playing on the streets, local food stands and the French Market. The WWII museum was another favorite. Really, everything we did was fun. Even just driving around the Garden and Warehouse District was interesting.
The pictures are exactly as it is. Perfectly clean, great stylish furniture and a fun New Orleans "shot gun" style. We didn't cook but they do have everything you would need to make your own meals.
One of the best additions to the rental is the neighborhood. It is well maintained and feels safe as they have the greatest neighbor that watches over the street. He is 80 years old and knows everything about not only the neighborhood but New Orleans

Perfect St. Patrick's Day!!

Owners were a delight and even let us use their canoe to paddle down the gorgeous Bayou a few blocks away!
We love to travel for St. Patrick's Day and previous year enjoyed Savannah GA and decided to try New Orleans for 2012 and glad we did. One might not think of New Orleans as much of an Irish town but we were amazed with the opportunities to celebrate and this beautiful home made it all perfect offering easy access to the parades and Irish Channel parties, concerts, and dances.
We enjoyed staying in a real New Orleans neighborhood right outside of the French Quarter. This is the old ShotGun style home (very clean) and you feel like you are living on a Treme set. Exquisitely decorated and quite comfortable.. Wonderful kitchen and large dining room. We found the beds supportive and VERY comfortable and family enjoyed the mounted TVs in every bedroom and streaming DVD players.. Neighbors were lovely and we took advantage of the perfect location and walked to City Park which was a treasure. CC coffee house down on the corner was a favorite and most mornings we met eclectic locals lounging on the patio, gulping espressos and debating where the best local music would be that night.

You will love this gorgeous home!

Wow .. we stayed for Mardi Gras 2012 and enjoyed every minute in this lovely home which was well maintained and very clean. Better than the photos. Owner was wonderful to work with and we could not have been happier with the accommodations and perfect location. We were walking distance to many of the parades and by the end of our stay had a living room mountain of colorful beads. This neighborhood home is just enough off the main thoroughfares to offer a quiet escape when needed from the 24/7 French Quarter one mile south. Faubourg St. John's quaint beauty is all around. Don't miss Cafe Degas and Lolas ... delicious! Highly recommended.
