We welcome you to the Slip Away Chalet. Enjoy your vacation at this exquisite mountain retreat. Located just off Rock Lodge Road, the Slip Away Chalet overlooks Deep Creek Lake. Close to WISP, dining, shopping, nightlife, boat rentals and the movie theater. We have tried to bring every comfort of home to your beck and call. Nestled on a large wonderful lot, this warm, inviting chalet offers comfort and seclusion for your vacationing pleasure.
A wood burning fireplace warms the great room and the south exposure provides warm winter sun for your winter comfort. Central heat and air conditioning was recently added to all three levels to enhance your comfort day and night. A whole house generator provides additional security during any unexpected power outage.
The main floor features two bedrooms and one bathroom with tub and shower. One bedroom features a queen size bed with a deep pocket pillow top Simmons Beauty Rest mattress for your sleeping enjoyment. The other main floor bedroom features a queen size bed(room) with a deep pocket pillow top Simmons Beauty Rest mattress and also a twin trundle bed in case you brought the kids. When our grandchildren are here, we call this our “dorm room”. Both bedrooms feature flat panel TVs with DVDs and Comcast cable with full channel selection including music channels.
The great room is on the main floor. The 50’ plus wide great room/kitchen/dining area over-looks Deep Creek Lake. Enjoy the comfort of the wood fire as you warm in front of the natural stone fire place, watch TV, look at the panoramic view of the lake or work on your e-mails at the roll top desk. Be sure to bring your laptop. Enhanced by new hardwood floors and a panoramic view of the lake you will also find not only a flat panel TV but also a DVD player, Netflix on demand, cable TV with music channels and ultrafast wireless internet. The kitchen comes fully equipped with new appliances. The balcony features a gas grill with reversible Sear Magic grill plates – one side for fish, one side for steaks.
Upstairs is the master bedroom suite with a vaulted ceiling, sitting area, walk-in closet, master bath with Jacuzzi style bath tub, walk-in shower, double vanity sink with a new granite counter top. In your bedroom, you will enjoy the king size bed, flat panel TV with DVD and a pair of Sony Clock Radios with iPhone docking station. From the entrance door to your master bedroom you can also look out over Deep Creek Lake.
The lower level features a queen size bed with a deep pocket pillow top Simmons Beauty Rest mattress, a flat panel TV and a closet. The great room on the lower level features a flat panel TV with DVD player, Netflix on Demand and full Comcast cable with music channels. Enjoy the views from the comfortable leather sofa. The lower level features a new gas (simulated wood) stove, a ping pong table, bar area with stools, bathroom with shower and a bumper pool table. The bumper pool table converts to a game table or poker table with the additional top.
For those who enjoy movies, you may e-mail me a list of requested movies from NetFlix on Demand and they will be ordered for the instant queue.
Step out to the lower level balcony and hot tub. This is a full feature hot tub with LED lights, 88 jets and a waterfall just waiting for you. In the summer, you will find the terraced back yard waiting for children to play or possibly you will enjoy the fire pit.
Enjoy a nice walk around the neighborhood to nature watch and get a little exercise. The lake access is a short walk away to the private dock where you can throw your line and fish.
For your security, Miller’s Slip Away Chalet features a security system. It will not be armed. Advise if you want the arm/disarm code. If you do not request the interior security system, it will be turned off prior to your arrival. We feature remote keyless entry to make sure you have a unique, keyless entry code for the front door lock.
ADDITIONAL RENTAL INFORMATION:
There is a 6% Maryland sales tax, 5% Garrett County lodging tax pplied to each stay.
Basic linen service that include sheets, pillowcases, bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, etc. are included. Toilet paper, paper towels, soap and dishwashing products included. All bathrooms have wall mounted hair dryers.
We do have a strict NON Smoking policy. If you or any member of your group smokes inside or outside we respectfully ask that you find another place to stay. No Smoking. No Smokers. This is NOT an option.
We suggest that in the winter ski season that you arrive in a 4 wheel drive vehicle due to possible snow accumulation after your arrival.
Ask about our pet policy. We do not accept Chihuahuas, Pit Bulls or any variety of Pit Bull Terriers including American Bull dogs. Charge for approved pets is $100 per stay.
BONUS January 5 thru May 25: The Extra Half Day. Stay two or three week-end nights, get a late checkout of 5:00 pm on date of departure. Ski or relax on the extra (check out) day instead of rushing to get out the door to meet a 10:00am check out deadline. It’s on us. Ask for “The extra half day”.
Minimum age for rental and occupancy is 26 years old unless accompanied by parent or legal guadian. Maximum of two families unless approved in advance.
