Great condo, ocean views and location

We loved this condo! The views and sound of the ocean 24 hours a day was just wonderful (and drowned out any fears of traffic noise!) and the ammenities were perfect for our needs. So many little details considered in outfitting the kitchen and the rest of the unit - (the bathrooms are beautiful!!) and the layout was perfect for the two of us, we never even closed the slider between the master BR and the LR. The pool and BBQ area were great, we prepared many of our meals since we couldn't beat the view! Good central location for excursions north and south - we enjoyed hiking the Waipio Valley, Kilauea Iki in the Volcanoes National Park, Mauna Kea and beaches like Spencer Park, Kekaha Kai, Kukio @ Hualalai (not great swimming but lots of honu!) and the beautiful Kohala Coast. We had great meals at Sushi Rock in Hawi (don't miss the Harvest roll!), Lemongrass Bistro in Kailua-Kona, Sam Choy's (ask for Malia and the chicken wing pupus!), Lava Java for breakfast and Da Poke Shack for outstanding poke (the wet Hawaiian and Pele's Kiss are the best!!). The KTA market in Kailua Kona is great and the Waikoloa Village Market if you're out that way is the best place to pickup Korean Ribs for the BBQ. Many MANY thanks Bob and Ronda for the great recommendations and excellent accommodations! We can't wait to come back!

It was a joy to stay in this condo! The decor was perfect for the setting and was neat and clean. We loved every minute of our stay. The trolleys were fun, Lava Java was the best place to eat! Loved the Kona coffee! It was a photographer's dream come true!

The listing description for the unit was very accurate and the photos accurately reflect the property. The condo has stunning ocean views. Everything in the condo was modern, clean and well maintained
The owner was very easy to deal with and very helpful. He was available for us by cell phone if we had any questions during our stay. It was not necessary to call him, however, as the instructions he gave were concise and easy to follow. Check-in and check out was very easy. The owner was very prompt in returning the security deposit after we left.
I would definitely recommend the unit to friends and family. If I return to Kona I would stay there again.

We've stayed in lots of VRBO's in Florida, the Carolinas, the Caribbean, Kauai, and now this wonderful condo. Always kind of leery about how accommodations will compare to the online photos. If anything, the website photos of this place don't begin to do it justice. This is a delightfully welcoming spot to kick back in - very tastefully appointed and thoughtfully provisioned - as if someone actually lives here ;-). THE best whale watching ever, glorious sunsets (and full moonsets), and incomparable morning coffee spot - all from the comfort of our private lanai. And all accompanied by the constant sounds of the surf - God's own white noise machine. Well done! Mahalo!

Wonderful Stay in Kona

My husband and I spent 3 beautiful days in Kona, and were lucky to stay at this condo. We had already spent almost 2 1/2 weeks in the southern part of the island in a condo that was not as nice. When we arrived in Kona we couldn't believe how great this condo was. It has been completely renovated and had everything we could need. We just had to walk onto the balcony and there was the beautiful view and sound of the ocean. It was amazing to fall asleep to the sound of the waves in the background. I could tell how much attention to detail Bob and his wife put into the condo, and it was really appreciated! We went from old, dirty condos to a very well kept and really clean condo. And it was a plus to find beach chairs, coolers, and toys that we could use while there!

Perfect Waterfront Location

From the front entryway to the waterfront lanai, this place feels like a home. The furnishings are nice, with pleasing colors, nice art work and a well stocked kitchen. It is clean! The floor plan works well for my family, with a quiet bedroom in the back and the nice master bedroom with water views and breezes. The modern washer and dryer were appreciated as was the supply of beach equipment. This location is ideal. It is minutes from one of the best snorkel spots on the island, minutes from good restaurants, grocery and drug stores, even an urgent care clinic. This is a small quiet complex with community pool, BBQ grills and a party space. I'm going back in 2013.

Fantastic Stay at Banyan 405--love it!

My husband and I just returned from our 6th stay at This wonderful oceanfront condo. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Kona. The huge lanai is difficult to step away from what with the view, sunsets, and all that goes on--surfers, dolphins, turtles, etc. The pictures simply cannot describe the incredible view! The hot tub is fantastic after a busy day of snorkeling, kayaking or hiking. This unit is incredibly well-maintained, with pride of ownership shown throughout. Each year something is new, which we love. The kitchen has everything you need, and the spacious master shower is beautiful. A very convenient location--we often jog or swim to white sands beach, or rent bikes just down the street at the market. The owners are super nice people, always accomodating and easy to book with. We can't say enough about this wonderful vacation spot! Mahalo!
