Isla Mujeres House Rental Photos and Description
3 Master Bedrooms, 3.5 Bathrooms, Beachfront , Amazing Views.

This pretty house has 3 master bedrooms, air conditioned , with 3.5 bathrooms, living room, dining room air conditioned too, pantry, full kitchen, with dishwasher, gas oven, microwave, coffee maker, Pantry, Terraces, garden, pool, jacuzzi, 4 Flat TVs, Internet service, hot water, laundry area, DVD player, sound system, garage for several cars,etc...

We have had some bad experiences with some of our guests. They complain for minor things, but they never say they asked for a better price, sometimes they never have driven a golf car, and then they impair it, they talk about life of the washer and dryer but never mention that they put towels in the dryer full of sand from the beach, and then.....Dryer does not work properly. Its amazing how people hide broken things and never say the truth.

I am a retired architect. I love to fish, to swim, and spend my time doing sports or making friends.

I designed and built this house, and was finished in 2009.

I used to travel around the world and most of the times we rented a house, so we know what you need.

Mario Carlo purchased this house in 2009

I designed and built this home because I wanted to spend more time here in the island.

In Mexico I would say is the safest place to be and to live in, because it is a small community, and the people know me and they take care of my family.

You will love this house if you travel with kids, because you do not need go anyway, just open the back door and now you are at the beach.

If you travel with friends too, the same thing, just enjoy, party, cook something in the grill and if you prefer you can cook all the time, but if do not, then you can walk in the white sand to have breakfast, or dinner.

Even you can rent a golf cart and go different places in the island.

We have pure water, big super market, drug store, hospital, doctors, etc...

The house is stunning, the pictures don't do it justice. Everything you could need is there, and the private beach is the icing on the cake. We were a group of 7 staying for a week, with several of us being regular visitors to Isla Mujeres. The house is convenient to the large grocery store on the island, but a little longer to get to Playa Norte and Hidalgo than we would prefer. The beds were comfortable and the property is very secure.
There were a few issues, however. The pool filter is on a timer to only run from midnight to 6am. This rendered the pool almost useless during the day, as it became full of debris from the trees, and cloudy due to the water not being circulated. The owner claimed this was for the convenience of the guests at the house, but a pool pump and filter do not produce that much noise, and we would have much rather have used the pool. Instead, we ended up going to Zama Beach club down the road and to Tarzan's beach club on Playa Norte. When we attempted to turn the pool filter and pump on ourselves, we were told not to do so.
Also upon leaving, we were told that there was evidence of us smoking inside the home, which was absolutely not true. We were also told a beach towel was missing (which we never even used since we couldn't use the pool). A glass was broken during our stay, and these reaons, along with the owner claiming that there were some dishes that didn't come clean in the dishwasher, gave him reason to keep our deposit. We refuted his claims to no avail.
It's a shame that our stay was marred by the accusations and deposit not being returned, as we would have gladly recommended this home to many of our friends who travel to the island. The house is gorgeous, but would do better if it were managed by a professional rental management company.
Owner's Response: No comments about it, when guests brake policies like no smoking house or more people staying at the house than registered at the agreement.
I tried to explain this lady that she broke the rules registering just 6 persons and having 8 , agreement is very clear, this cause eviction and I did not do it, and her group were smoking inside the house they burned two plastic glasses and discovered ashes inside the house, and I told her, evidences to smoking causes penalties. She was angry but rules are rules, she is trying to damage reputation of the house. I could evict her group but I did not do it , pool is working ok but one guy was inside moving valves and he did damages to the pump, but I do not want to say more. This lady is very angry . proof ???? you can come to the island and have a very nice stay, please read the positive reviews.

We had an amazing time at Casa Calle Angosta. As a family of 6 (4 young children) we were a little nervous booking this location simply because there were no reviews to go by. Mario set our minds at ease and promptly replied to any questions we had no matter how trivial they may have seemed.
Firstly, this house and property are simply stunning and the pictures truly do not do it justice. The view across of Cancun is absolutely breath taking. We enjoyed eating outside daily staring out past the post card palm trees out into the open sea. Everything in this house is first class and well appointed.
Our daily activities included kayaking directly from our private beach, outdoor grilling, swimming in the pool and touring the entire island in the golf cart.
We had a fabulous holiday and cant wait for our next trip back to Casa Calle Angosta. Thx again Mario for everything...we truly had a fantastic holiday!

We were a little hesitant to book Casa Calle Angosta because we couldn't find any reviews. So we made contact with Mario, the owner, who promptly and patiently answered all our questions. The property had all the amenities we were hoping for: all ensuite bedrooms, pool, swimmable beach frontage; green space (it's nice when city kids can go "free range" on vacation), a decent kitchen and plenty of space for two families.

Turns out it was one of those places that surpassed the photos and listing description. It has amenities designed for a chill family vacation: it's incredibly spacious inside and out, there's a dining table that seats eight, two refrigerators, big comfy sofas to curl up on, a solid AV setup (including ext. Boase speakers), great linen/beds, well-appointed bathrooms and some great interior design features.

We were familiar with the Playa Norte area, which we love, but it was our first time staying in Sac Bajo. It was fantastic too, and very well-suited for families or anyone who wants to have some space and quiet. Yet it's not that it's far away from anything—Playa Norte was a short golf cart ride away, we found a great taco place just five minutes away, and the turtles (fun and cheap!) and dolphins (fun and expensive!) were just down the street.

It's tough to find any *real* faults with the place, so let me quibble with some minor stuff: we rented the golf cart that went with the place, but it didn't always work well; the washer/dryer combo seemed to be near the end of its natural life; the water at the beach is weedy and shallow and the pool didn't seem to be filtering as actively as I expect (but I've had this same concerns at other rentals too, so it may be my hangup).

That's all I have; I'm without any significant criticisms. I can recommend this property without reservation.

Owner's Response: Sometimes people write like they paid full rate, and forget they were asking for a last time bargain, (Now we have cancelled last time price)
Golf cart just needed an adjustment but if guests never advise I never know. I have been looking very close my guests because I am different, I am not an administrator, I am the owner, then I am so picky with everything around my house.
The washer and dryer have just 3 years working just 10 or 15% of these time, this is the first year we rent our house, but if guests take the towels directly from the beach full of sand and never shake them and put directly in the dryer, then dryer works poorly, and we need to make an expensive maintenance to fix it.
I am really surprised with people complaining because the ocean is weedy and shallow, if you know something about the world, you can not to demand sandy beach, but if you know how to swim will discover a really nice world under sea, (life)!!!!!!!!! and overall !!!!! families with young children under 5 years old?????, you can rent a house in the other side of the island deeper and you can die trying to swim...... what a meaninglessness.
Pool ???? what an atrocious comment, our pool filter works from midnight to 6:00 am and we put chemicals once a week (did you forget the gardener working two days a week???
Normally I refund the damage deposit last day before guests leave but now we discovered dirty dishes and dishwasher full of detergent that we need to fix.
Amazing people ungrateful. No more cheap people.

We had an amazing vacation at Casa Calle Angosta. The home was very nice and spacious, and the pool and beach were great for us and our three children. We really enjoyed spending our time in the back yard, which truly felt like our own little oasis. Mario made our stay very pleasant as well; From the first day we contacted him about our possible stay, to the end of our vacation - things went very smooth and Mario was there to help with any questions we had. Another thing we really appreciated about this home was how welcome we felt in the neighborhood; From the little beach boutique owners, to the people working at the restaurant down the beach (great food!!!) ; they really made us feel right at home.
We are already making arrangements for our return to Casa Calle Angosta in the near future. Thank you very much for an amazing stay Mario!
