Owners/Managers are very pleasant and easy to do business with. Ginger provided us with all the basics for our location and was just a text away when we needed her. We had an enjoyable stay and everything you need is in this compact space.
The "hideout" is conveniently tucked away on Frenchman. Very quiet and the neighbors were friendly. Keep in mind that the space is VERY small. However, definitely worth the money.
The last two nights we were there, it got a little cold. There is only a space heater to heat the space and it didn't quite warm the place enough. We slept with 3 blankets. Also, on checkout day, Ginger was gracious enough to store our luggage. This is very much appreciated since we weren't flying out until 7pm. However, when we went back in to get our luggage - it seemed that although they had turned over the place, the sheets were not changed. I'd love to give them the benefit of the doubt because I'd love to return. I just hope that the linens were changed before we checked in!
Oh, if you plan on bringing a lot of luggage - DON'T. There's no convenient place to store it and the space is not big enough to keep maneuvering around it. There are drawers under the bed for storage but they are falling apart and are not the cleanest.
Ultimately, I was happy with my stay. I would definitely stay at the Marigny Hideout on Frenchman again and recommend others to as well.
Owner's Response: We, of course, change the sheets between each stay! We have several sets of linens in stock so that we can accommodate quick turnarounds.
The unseasonable cold this winter was challenging. But when I stayed there under similar conditions, I was quite comfortable - even turning down the space heater some nights.
Ginger and I both strive to provide places where we would want to stay and will always continue to do so.
