3 Bedroom & 3 Bath Private Home with Three Levels to Enjoy
Our beautiful home is 2100 square feet of air conditioned luxury. Directly across the street from the ocean with a small beach less than 100 yards away. Downstairs has one bedroom with a queen bed, bathroom with full size washer and dryer, modern kitchen with brand new stainless appliances, outside dinning table, large stainless BBQ, IPOD docking station. The dinning room has a beautiful custom table as well as hand carved bar stools that sit to the kitchen counter. Outside dinning is also available on two levels. Second floor is the entertainment room with wet bar, table and chairs, couch, recliners, large flat screen TV,DVD's,board games and IPOD docking station. Master bedroom with king size bed with en-suite bathroom, 3rd bedroom has a queen size bed and adjacent 3rd bathroom. Third floor is a rooftop sundeck with hot tub, patio table and chairs, and chaise loungers. Parking for up to 3 cars. Free WiFi and free telephone including long distance calls within the US and Canada.

Beautiful Home! Perfect Location! We didn't want to leave!
Beautiful Home! Perfect Location! We didn't want to leave!
We are a group of 2 families with 2 One year old infants. We arrived at the home very travel weary from staying on the Volcano side and driving with unhappy babies. The care takers had the Brand New Pack n Plays all set up in the bedrooms, and Brand new appearing Child booster seats all set up as well. It made transitioning our travel weary infants to the new home very very easy. To anyone traveling with infants and toddlers, you know what a big deal that is. :)
The home itself is beautifully remodeled and decorated. The photos on this site do no do it justice. The beds are comfortable and the house is very clean. Both kitchens are very well stocked with nice appliances and cookware. We cooked all of our meals during out 10 day stay except 2. Costco, Walmart, Safeway, and Target are all very close. It was easy to have what we needed.
We did buy 2 baby gates that we left at the house to keep the babies away from the stairs which are pretty steep. The baby gates worked perfectly. It was nice having 2 living areas as well. We were able to have meals in either area depending on when kiddo's were napping. We also bought a 3rd pack n play to take to the beach which we left at the house along with some sand toys as well.
The BBQ on the front ground floor lanai is very nice, as is the patio furniture. We had many meals out there. I thought it was going to be noising because of Alii drive being right there, but the tropical shrubbery blocked the area nicely from the road and it was very comfortable and relaxing.
The roof top lanai and hot tub have an amazing view of the ocean by day, and city lights by night. When the clouds from the volcano allow, the sunsets are beautiful from up there.
The air conditioning works very well in all of the bedrooms (which are most important in my opinion) and the down stairs living area. The upstairs living area AC had a hard time keeping up, so it was often hot in there during mid day, but cooled off nicely at night with the windows open.
It would have been nice if the caretakers could have turned on the AC the day we arrived as the house was 98 degrees inside upon our arrival and it took most of the day to cool it down.
The owners are very helpful and prompt in responding to questions or requests. House is close to everything but just far enough out of down town to be quieter. Magic Sands beach is just 1 mile south down Alii drive.
We had a wonderful stay. I'd recommend this house to anyone

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this superbly appointed, conveniently located, immaculately clean, large yet still cozy, beautiful estate in Kona with all the comforts of home and more! The owners were so helpful and accommodating with making our arrangements for our stay, and the caretakers do a wonderful job of making sure this home is a welcome haven upon arrival. We loved the honu (turtle) decor theme throughout the house as well. The furniture was both functional and very comfortable, and we were able to spend some time in the rooftop hot tub at sunset too -- relaxation at it's finest! We would certainly return at a moment's notice, and hope to be able to do so very soon! Mahalo nui loa (Thank you very much!)!

No disappointments!
We've been renting on the islands for several years now. We spend a month or more every year and always take a vrbo rental. This is really the first time that all of our expectations have been met (and exceeded) The home is clean and well appointed, with excellent appliances and services.
The bed was excellent
The kitchens were wonderful
Excellent pots, pans, and cookware. (knives could be improved)
Access to beaches, surfing, shopping, entertainment etc was all wonderful.
There are no shortcomings. You will not be disappointed.
My wish list?
I'd love to see a small desk and printer - I'm sure I'm not alone.
A little better knife set for those who like to cook. I'd bring my own but for Airport Security.
I think that's pretty good. Of the 2 dozen places we've rented on the Islands, this was by far the best. The owner/manager was immediately responsive to all of our questions.

Excellent
It was our first time using vrbo. The property was great with the two levels as we were with our son and his family. Two bedrooms up and one down worked perfect. The place was immaculate and reflected the whole new makeover. We enjoyed the rooftop hot tub and also, the lanai that was in the front of the house. We found you do need a car to go to swimmable beaches. It was very central for exploring the Island. We used all the toys. Boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs, beach umbrellas and sand toys. Our grandchildren loved it. We would recommend this property to our friends. If you are a walker or jogger the road in front was great for either and we noticed was well used by many people. The owner was excellent in answering all of questions promptly.

Very nice place, great location, well appointed
Hale Alii is a very nice two level house, with a front patio and a roof top patio. It has kitchens on both levels, and three bedrooms, and could easily handle 6 people or more. The kitchens were stocked with everything needed to cook, including spices & condiments, and there is a gas barbecue. Plenty of linens and towels, too. There is a beach storage unit with boogie boards, beach chairs and snorkeling kits. It's far enough out of town that the traffic is reasonable, but close enough to get to everything. We had a great time!

amazing!
what a great place. a lot of space to unwind. 2 living areas, 2 lanais (1 with a grill, 1 with a hot tub on top of roof). Views of the ocean and sunsets from each floor. The house has wonderful hawaiian furniture, extremely comfortable beds, a great kitchen with high end appliances. The owner told me they had just finished an extensive remodel and it showed. 3 bedrooms easily provided more than enough space for 4 adults and 2 kids. They had boogie boards, snorkel sets, sand toys, sand chairs. 2 shoreline access points across the street (you're on alii drive), and a 5-15 minute walk to various beach parks and downtown Kona. We didn't want to leave!
