Hello! That is an absolute nice location, very well equipped with nice technical features, quiet (mainly families there in the houses around) and extremly clean, perfect bay-view from the veranda and in 3min. walking distance to a beautiful and not at all crowded beach. With the car 5min to Lagos with many restaurants, bars, etc. Also 5 min by car to a beautiful Golf-Club (Boavista) which I frequently used. Renting Kajaks recommended to discover the cliffs and rocks at the coats which takes 2-3h and is a really nice adventure. If the wind blows (it did not unfortunately when we were there) you can also rent Catamarans and Laser to have have some sailing fun in Lagos. Only thing to maybe improve in the house by the way is the WIFI-quality/speed but at least there is one that is a minor thing really, everything else is perfect. This villa was truelly amazing. The rooms were large and furnished beautifully. There were 5 adults and I child in our group and there was plenty of space for us all. The villa was spotless and the owner was always willing to help with any issues/requests. Overlooking the beach and just a few minutes walk away is the gorgeous Porto de Mos beach with two restaurants. We visited them both and the food and service was very good. The sea bass was outstanding! Lagos is about 20+ minutes walk away and is a lovely town with many restaurants and facilities. We particularly enjoyed the cave tour of the coast. We all had a wonderful holiday and would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting to visit this part of the Algarve.

This is the second year that we have stayed in the Villas; and yet again the villa lived up to expectations! The quality of the villa is superb, and with the sea view and close proximity of the beach the location cannot be bettered. We stayed there with our family (six adults and two small children) and there was plenty of room in both the villa and outdoor space.

We used one of the restaurants on the beach for both a quick snack or a drink in the day, and for dinner in the evening and were pleased with the standard and value offered.

As ever John was always on hand, promt and responsive to any queries.

Great holiday was had by everyone, so good we have booked again for next year!!

Casa Mar was everything we imagined and more. The house was exceptionally clean and convenient to the beach and to Lagos and surrounding villages. The owner was very responsive to all my requests and questions. There is an abundance of good restaurants in Lagos and Luz. Try the cliff walk from Porto do Mos to Luz. It is difficult at times but has beautiful views. We especially enjoyed the boat rides into the caves. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

" This villa is amazing. It is spacious, extremely clean and very easy to relax in. There were five adults (all busy mums on a deserved break) so it accommodated us easy. The outside area was also very clean and the heated pool a much larger size than that normally provided. Communication with the owner was second to none from start to finish. He has furnished the villa to a high standard and clearly takes a lot of pride to ensure his guests return from their holiday having enjoyed their time.

Porto de Mos was very quiet and the villa had wonderful sea views, so the beach was only a short walk. There are only two restaurants on the beach. We ate at Campi Mar twice and on both occasions the staff were friendly and the food was lovely. We did take a look at the other restaurant but that looked pretty much cafe style, with only one table occupied at the time so we went back to Campi Mar which was very busy, but we were easily accommodated.

There are no other shops in Porto de Mos, so we got a short taxi ride to the supermarket - very easy to arrange and again the drivers were very friendly. We visited Lagos Town which was beautiful and although we didn't go to the beach we did see it and again we couldn't fault it. The restaurants in the town were busy but plenty of spaces and variety and again the waiters were friendly and attentive. For those wanting nightlife we noted plenty of nightclubs along with way.

Overall this resort is fantastic for all ages and groups. We would have no hesitation of returning either as a group of girls again, or with our families. We highly recommend the villa and resort. "

We stayed at Casa Mar in August this year and the villa was even better than the pictures had shown. There were 5 children and 5 adults, and we hired both the villa and the annex which provided us with more than enough space. The villa itself is new, modern, spacious and clean and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

The beach is only a few minutes walk and is absolutely beautiful. The restaurant over the road is lovely for both lunches and evening meals. Porto De Mos doesn't have a supermarket, but a car ride or taxi ride nearer Lagos provides a choice of some really good supermarkets.

There is a good hourly bus route into Lagos which is really handy and Lagos is absolutely lovely and well worth a visit.

I was surprised how cool the evenings were even in August, so definitely recommend a coat or cardigan.

All in all, a great place to stay and well recommended.

We stayed at Casa Mar in July 2011 and had a fantastic time. There were 6 adults and a small child and we found the villa to be very luxurious and perfect for our needs. The villa was exactly as it was described and very clean and well maintained. I would recommend this property to anyone.

This villa is extremely spacious huge in fact ! Everthing was exactly as advertised if not better in reality, a truly gorgeous, stunning place. The owner John is very friendly and helpful and always available to answer any questions. In the master bedroom you can take a shower with perfect sea views!
The area is very quiet and peaceful with two nice restaurants on the beach just a few minutes walk away the 'campi Mar' restaurant did better food than Antonios but both are good and excellent value for money but be sure to reserve a table especially if you want to sit outside they can be very busy.
The centre of Lagos is only few minutes away in taxi costing about 4-5 euros and i recommend you book a table at the restaurant called 'No Patio' its gorgeous!Does not look much from outside but when you go through the seating is all outside in a gorgeous relaxed setting,the best food we had in Portugal by far and the service was excellent!
There are no shops at all near the villa which is why they say car hire is essential, but we didn't hire one and managed ok as the large supermarket ' intermache' was about a 15 min brisk walk away if your a fairly fit fast walker.
Would not really like to bring children as the pool area is not really suitable as it is an infinity pool with quite a drop at the end into a deep slate water catchment area.
We went for a mountain biking holiday and did guided rides with 'the mountain bike adventure' who are excellent and highly recommended as they cater for all different levels of ability.
Over all one of the best holiday destinations i have been to a real quality place.
