We stayed 5 nights in the house with 6 children and 2 adults. Three bedrooms and 2 big bathrooms with a dining/living room in the center gave us enough space. It was spotless clean, decorated very tastefully and had everything you need (fluffy towels, kitchen utensils etc.). The backyard is fantastic. It's fenced in and has 3 gigantic oak trees with a swing from a high branch. The walk to the beach takes 4-5 minutes - a stroll enlong a paved side road with old oak trees. The beach was fantastic: white sand, the water shallow but clean, warm enough to have a swim. Kayaks and bikes at the house as described.
1 hour drive to New Orleans, 20 minutes along the beach highway to Biloxi. We had a wonderful stay and our children enjoyed the space around the house and the swing very much.
One thing to consider: the railroad is very close and you can hear the passing trains honk all the way through town (it was loud). Bring bug spray: there were tiny flies in the yard.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay from the very beginning. The owner was very organized and sent us wonderful information about the property and the area. The house was perfect for us - two couples and five children. Each couple had their own room, and the kids loved the bunk room. We were sad to leave!

The home is comfortable and very clean and inviting.
My family gathered there and invited local family and friends over to visit and play.
The large grand room and kitchen/dining areas open to the yards on both sides is perfect The ancient oak trees in the backyard bless the place in hard to define ways. Plus the swing enchanted my grandson for many hours.
The beach is less than 5 minutes away. And a permit for a bonfire on the beach allowed us to have a birthday gathering there.
Bay St Louis is charming, walkable and sweet, working hard and persistently.

From the second my family and I walked in the door we felt right at home. The house is updated and very clean. Everything we needed was available.....ie towels, kitchen gadgets, beach toys. We loved how close we were to the beach, restaurants and local shops. This was our first visit to the Gulf Coast and we can't wait to return to this great little gem!

When you want to get away, but still want that cozy atmosphere of home, this charming quaint but updated little bayhouse will suit all your needs. This home sets on a large fenced in property with tons of beautiful Oak trees and a variety of fragrant bearing fruit trees. Everything is close so you can choose to walk it and enjoy the beautiful surroundings or drive it (those of you with many children). If you want to explore beyond the town and along the coastline, this is a perfect place to stay as other towns and activities are only a short car ride away. Whether it is for a family vacation or a couple's romantic get away, this bayhouse and the town and beach that surround it have the characterists that make it that special get away for anyone.
