Photos and Description of the Cozumel vacation condo rental
3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Condo, (Sleeps 6)

Let Casa De Jefe be YOUR home in Cozumel. Located just north of the main plaza and one block back from the beautiful Malecon, Casa De Jefe makes the perfect base of operations for your Cozumel adventure. Don’t waste your time in an impersonal hotel; feel at home in our home in Cozumel. A top floor unit with vaulted ceiling, this 3 bedroom, 2 bath unit has room to spread out and relax. The master suit features a king size bed and huge closet with a safe. The attached master bath has two sinks, so there is no arguing on vacation. The glass walled shower is large enough to share too! The first guestroom, the blue and white room, features a comfy queen bed and the other, the green room, features two twin beds. A hall bath with a large glass walled shower is between the two bedrooms.

Casa De Jefe features a fully equipped kitchen with gas oven and stove, fridge with ice maker and cold water supplied by bottled water. It has all the stuff you need: juicer, blender, toaster, coffee maker and bottle opener! With all the great inexpensive restaurants nearby, you may just want to use the microwave to warm up the leftovers. Hey, why cook in paradise, but if you want to, it is all there. Even better, Casa De Jefe has a full size washer and dryer! Pack light and just wash your clothes. No one will notice you wearing that same flowered shirt twice in the same week! Each bathroom is stocked with fluffy high quality towels and in the laundry room you will find additional beach towels. Each bedroom has its own mini-split air conditioning as well as the one for the shared area. Of course, being on the top floor you can often open the windows and enjoy the tropical breezes.

It is great to unplug on vacation, but if you are like me, you like to stay on the grid. Casa De Jefe features DSL Wi-Fi for your use. In addition to a local landline phone, we have a Vonage phone that will allow you to talk to the States and Canada as much as you want. (or as little ?) Friends and Family can call for the price they would pay to call Pennsylvania. (You don’t have to answer…) We have a couple of power strips to charge those electronic as well as a cord to connect your IPod to our small stereo.

Additionally, Casa De Jefe has a nice covered patio sitting area with a ceiling fan and ringed with plants – a nice place to relax in the evening or watch your family in the pool during the day. A large pool is there for your use and usually quiet. It has a nice shady palapa so you can sit by the pool out of the sun to enjoy a good book or a nap.

The complex features a gated parking area so your car, if you rent one, is secure as well as night time security staff. The area is safe and well lit for nighttime strolls. Located on the edge of the action, the area is peaceful at night, but you are a short walk to the nighttime action. There is a small public beach about one block north along the water with a beach club restaurant. South of the condo, restaurants and shops are everywhere. Be sure to check out Los Cinco Soles, one block west and 2 south, for great, quality souvenirs and memories. If we can help sharing our knowledge or love of ‘La Isla’ with you we are happy to do it. After all you will be staying in our home…

About Richard 'El Jefe and Susanita

'Susanita' and I fell in love with the Island of Cozumel in 2008 after visiting as new scuba divers. After a trip or two, we decided two things: 1. The diving in Cozumel was so wonderful, and 2. We wanted are little piece of Paradise. After searching and soul searching, we went all in and bought. While I am still not retired, I try to get down as much as possible among the many friendly people in the oasis of rest and relaxation.

Richard 'El Jefe and Susanita purchased this condo in 2010
Why Richard 'El Jefe and Susanita chose Cozumel

After searching the area and our wants, we knew we needed some room. We wanted to share the joys of Cozumel with family and friends, so we chose this beautiful unit at Las Ventanas. It was so tastefully decorated, we changed very little. Now we have a roomy place to share time in paradise.

What makes this condo unique

The beauty of Casa De Jefe for us is its proximity to everything in town. After a day on the dive boat or at a beach club or whatever, we can get cleaned up and stroll through El Centro and its many choices. Whether it is the upscale Kinta, a very affordable high quality Mexican Bistro whose food should grace the pages of a food magazine or a local cantina with mostly local families, or even some of the great street food, it is all there and close by. After dinner, stroll home along the water or stop at a friendly bar for a night cap, or hang out in the plaza and see what is going on, then stroll home. Of course mornings, you will want to stroll down to Zermatt bakery and snag some breakfast treats, again close enough to enjoy them there or home on the patio. Close to everything is why we chose Las Ventanas. (Really close. Not the kind where it's far away, but you can walk, rather the kind it's easier and faster to walk than drive even.)

This was my first time to Cozumel and did a lot of research in advance before arriving. My main concern was finding a safe running route for my morning jogs. The location of this condo was perfect and very safe. I was able to run 3-4 mile in the surrounding area and view the beautiful, scenic land. Also, everything that you need is in walking distance. In just a few moments, you can be in the center of town and the main hot spots. I also enjoyed the fenced in parking lot with a numbered parking. I felt extremely safe.

The condo itself was immaculate. I can honestly say that I have never stayed at a nice place. I was very impressed by the decor and warm feeling when walking in. The balcony provided a much needed rest after long days at the beach and offered peacefulness. We were greeted by the manager the first day we arrived and were informed of the daily maid service including water replacement for the faucet.

If you are vacationing in Cozumel, this condo is the place to stay!

Best Condo in Cozumel!

Spent 7 days in Cozumel with just my girlfriend and stayed at the Casa De Jefe. We didn't know what to expect since we were new to traveling and the island. Once we arrived at the condo it immediately felt like home away from home. It is seriously so beautiful and welcoming. When you're in the condo you still feel like your on an island and not just some hotel room. Everything was clean and has all the necessities including like bottled water, appliances, etc. While relaxing on the balcony you will even see a lizard or two relaxing with you.

The condo is located at the best spot. Just a couple blocks away from the Plaza where shopping, entertainment, food, and more is located. Sits back a block or two from the main strip.

The owners of the condo were kind enough to make a list of restaurants that are local and not to touristy, but delicious! If you're on a budget they also list from the least expensive to most expensive. There are also plenty of markets close by to buy food and make in the condo. We ended up going to Ohana's which is just a few blocks away and it was AMAZING! owner is a excellent guy also.

The condo owners were really helpful with giving us idea's on what to do and what we need to check out on the island. Didn't fail! Great time! The condo employee's were extremely nice and a great help with whatever you need or want.

The condo is plenty big enough for a whole family plus one more family. I'll be back and I recommend this place to my family and friends and people that are deciding to stay here. It is Paradise! Pool is really clean and fun as well.

Cozumel is an awesome island and the people are extremely friendly. They rely on your business so you're treated well everywhere. Once you stay here, you'll be back...

I have had the pleasure of staying at your home twice. Once was February, 2011 when majority of the US was being hit with an ice storm. The weather in Cozumel at that time was gorgeous! I arrived at your location and was amazed by the beauty!! Your place is so welcoming by the vibriant decore. I felt like a queen for the 10 days I stayed there.

I enjoyed myself so much that time I came back to stay at your residence May, 2012. The weather this time was a little rainy but during those times we enjoyed staying in and watching tv or sitting out on the beautiful balcony admiring the festive decorations of the balcony and enjoying the view of the ocean and of your pool. The group I was with visited the pool at your location several times just for a little "R&R" (rest and relaxation).

What I enjoy most about the location of your property is that you are walking distance from so many things - restaurants, the yummy local bakery, the shops and the main plaza just to name a few things. Also, what is neat about your location you can hear the local children in the morning at the local school singing and playing. At night off in the distance you may hear the music of a local bar/restaurant. To me, your place is like none I have ever experienced before. It is very nice but at the same time very cozy and welcoming.

To any potential visitors that stay at Casa De Jefe...you won't be disappointed. Enjoy your stay there and in Cozumel. :)

Great condo, good location. We loved the washer and dryer and the beer waiting in the fridge when we arrived. The only negative thing was when they changed the gate codes and didnt tell us.

Owner's Response: I am glad you enjoyed your stay. I am sorry that the staff didn't get you the gate codes before they changed them. I will contact them and make sure they are aware of the issue so that doesn't happen again. Maybe I can make it up to you on your next visit!

This condo was recommended by our divemaster and we really loved it. The location is very central, just a few blocks off the square and some of our favorite restaurants. Great living space, beautifully decorated and the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. It was nice to have a washer and dryer. The staff on site were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Casa de Jefe

My family and I traveled to Cozumel in order to enjoy the Carnival holiday. The spacious accommodations at Casa de Jefe easily met the needs for our family of 6. We felt right at home in our island paradise for that week. The pool offered a nice relaxing time to unwind after a fun full day of great snorkeling and sightseeing. The ease of access to the surrounding sites and restaurants was well within walking distance. To be more adventurous and see the whole island and the great sites you will want a car, but the ease of access and private parking makes this a breeze. We recommend the bakery that is right down the road for a quick inexpensive breakfast. This was truly an adventure my family will not forget and the memories that we made together are priceless. We thank the owners for the knowledge they shared and we can’t wait to go back for another great island get away in Cozumel. We will be sure to stay at Casa de Jefe.
