About Hutch Freeman

After graduating from Florida State University I moved to the Tampa area in 2002 and have been here ever since. I currently live in Tampa w/my girlfriend, so if need any assistance during your stay I'm just a phone call away.

Hutch Freeman purchased this house in 2006
Why Hutch Freeman chose Madeira Beach

I'm a Florida native (I know, we are rare) and have always lived close to the water, but it was always my dream to own a house 'on' the water and that dream finally came true when I bought this house. Now I want to share a piece of that dream with you and your family.

What makes this house unique

I fell in love with this property the 1st time I saw that it was completely surrounded by water. I walked to the back yard and watched the sunset, at that moment there were dolphins swimming just off one of the two docks. I was sold right then and there and have had nothing but beautiful memories ever since. You just can't beat enjoying an ice cold beverage of your choice as the sun sets behind the house.

Good location, poor quality home

While this home is in a good location for visiting beaches and John's Pass, the home itself is extremely dated and in poor shape. There are at least two places, one in the entry and one in the living room, where the plaster is falling off the wall. The "master bath" shower drains directly outside onto a cement patio. There is water damage on cabinets. On the up-side, the yard is fenced, making it great for dogs. It has a nice grill for cooking out, and the kitchen is well-stocked. It has a nice dock for fishing, though there are a couple of boats there, and we had to deal with a morning of guys showing up unannounced - working and running airpumps to remove barnacles from the commercial fishing boat. Hutch was very pleasant to work with.
Not a bad stay, but a bit of a disappointment considering the rental fee.

Upon arriving the owners were just some of the nicest people I've met. Hutch was right on time to meet me with the keys and to do a walk-through of the house with me. It's bright, open airy and the views of the water are spectacular! I spent the week fishing and there's tons of dock space here too for your boat, with 50 amp service and water. The owner has the house stocked with everything we needed- namely a grill and a blender!
There's tons to do in the area and plenty or restaurants and bars or you can skip all that and just chill on the beach, which is right down the street. We'll definitely be back now that we've found this spot!!

Owner's Response: Patrick, I'm so glad you enjoyed your trip and stay at my house. Nothing beats all sunshine and 80 degree weather during winter. I look forward to having you stay at my place again in the future. Sincerely, Hutch Freeman
