Tarpon Season Special May 1 - July 15.
-----------------------------------------
Full American Plan: three meals (box lunch fishing days). Will arrange guides for rod or fly fishing from Burnt Store Marina. Tarpon fisherWOMEN especially welcome. Extra activities for females fishing & spouses.
-----------------------------------------------------General Description: on your west-facing lanai listen to bird-call. Ospreys, hawks, and eagles fly over the mangrove island and land on their favorite perch. Dolphins swim by in all seasons. As cooler weather arrives so do manatees. Mullet fishermen cast nets in the canal below your lanai. When they leave, mullets jump for joy. Before setting out on a day of boating, fishing, golfing or sight-seeing work out in the fitness room or swim laps in the pool. For your day's activities we arrange boat rental, cruises to Cabbage Key, Boca Grande, and barrier islands of Cayo Costa and Sanibel/Captiva; golf and tennis dates and/or instruction at myriad facilities including men, ladies or mixed golf and tennis. Will organize shopping and arts excursions, massage therapy, spa and salon services in your unit or at your choice of salon. Will arrange transportation to Northport's famous Hot Mineral Springs to ply the mineral-rich 'lake', have aqua-yoga massage, full spa services, mud baths and hear the polyglot of Eastern Europeon languages. Its deep deep center is deeper than Baden Baden's famous pool in Europe. Or, just relax in the sun on the pool deck or your choice of the Prosperity Point east and west pools (shady spots there). Soak in the hot tub on any of the pool decks, chat with neighbors, arrange a golf date or an excursion to Sarasota, Venice, Fort Myers, Naples, or Boca Grande by car or boat. Yes, you can boat to them all via the Inter-Coastal north from the west end of Charlotte Harbor, inside the barrier islands or on the Gulf of Mexico. Calusa Queen provides cruises to barrier islands and sets out on sunset cruises every day from Burnt Store Marina. Is it time for cocktails? Watch the gorgeous sunsets from the pool deck, your own west-facing lanai or on the Calusa Queen's sunset tour. Perhaps take the golf cart (provided) and join other sunset-watchers at the water's edge near the exit from Burnt Store Marina into Charlotte Harbor. Listen for the sound of the conch shell as the sun dips below the horizon (Key West-style). Wait and watch as the sunset colors spread across the sky, deepening in color and loveliness as the evening slowly subsides into nightfall. Toast to another beautiful day in Burnt Store Marina. Your own liquors and wines are in your liquor cabinet and bar refrigerator (provided for extra change). There's glass and plastic beverage-ware including Tervis Tumblers to keep your beverages hot or cold. Plastic beverage containers are required on the pool deck. Three Viking gas-fired grills are on the pool deck below. Grill along with other residents and exchange experiences of the day. Dine on the pool deck at tables around the pool, at your lanai table, inside at the dining table, or casually at the kitchen bar. (Full meal plan available). After dark relax in the oversized tan leather Natuzzi sectional or two reclining chairs. A full cable package including the golf, tennis and movie channels is on your HD television. Or check out the night sky with the astronomical telescope on the lanai. Will arrange for evenings at an observatory with an astronomer on the grounds of Thomas Edison College in Punta Gorda. Prefer a movie or to watch television with other residents? On the amenities floor there's a 16-seat theatre with reclining seats and in the social room there's comfortable couches and chairs. Both locations have Direct TV. Or have a game of pool or tinkle the ivories on the baby grand piano.
Ladies: join the ladies playing Mah Jong on Monday evenings. Gents: the guys play poker Tuesday evenings. All: at Portobello's it's karaoke on Wednesdays, live entertainers Thursday to Sunday and happy hour lasts all day. GI 3/4's Thirsty Thursday is on (guess?)Thursday evenings in the social room. Join Prosperity Point's mixed golf foursomes on Fridays and then attend their Meet & Greet, Sip and Dip on Friday evenings at the East and West Pools.(All GI 3/4 residents may also use the East and West Pools inside the residences of Emerald and Topaz Condo Associations.) Walk over to the Burnt Store Fitness Center and play tennis on the night-lighted courts. Take a stroll passagiata-style along the canal and around Prosperity Point island. It's a relaxing way to end the day before retiring to your comfortable bedrooms all with pillow-top mattresses.
