4 BR plus office, 3.5 BA, 3 car garage parking, bay view, garden

Perfect for reunions, weddings, Americas Cup teams, or families travelling together. Stay in the whole building (three level home) in this beautiful Marina property and spread out amoungst the two flats and office/garden area. Perfect for families or teams that want to house together, but still want privacy and space. Each flat has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, and laundry room. The garage can fit three cars with a fourth car blocking the drive. The office and patio areas are large and enclosed by a blooming garden. The office features one queen bed and one twin bed and can sleep 3 people. The sleeping accomodations for 14 people across the three floors include 2 Cal king beds, 2 queen beds, 4 twin beds, and 1 sleeper sofa which can fit 2 people. The round table in one of the flats can easily fit 10 people for a sit-down dinner.

We have preserved the beautiful European touches innate to this property built in 1931 shortly after the World Fair. Features such as the original inlay wood floors set in a stunning pinwheel pattern, arched mahogany doors with antique brass hardware, barrel ceilings outlined with intricate crown moldings, oversized bay windows in their original wood frames, art deco tile, and even an antique wall telephone chair are just some of the architectural gems found in this unique property.

The sun-filled living rooms and a formal dining rooms are both very large and well-appointed. These areas flow nicely into each other which makes entertaining effortless. All four of the bedrooms are located in the back of the flat overlooking the garden and patio. People love this unit because I have 2 master bedrooms, each with an adjacent bathroom and a Cal King size bed. So, one gets jipped if there are two couples! The four bedrooms are located far away from the entertaining areas. The patio/office area has two beds and desk/chair. It is detached and far from the hustle and bustle of the two flats located upstairs. This is a perfect place to escape and work, or sleep in!

The outdoor garden and paved patio is fenced in, and has 4 chairs and table for outdoor dining. The paved area is large enough for kids to play. Throughout the years we had a basketball hoop, jumpy house and bikes out there – just to give you a feel for how big it is.

Garage parking for 3 cars (plus a 4th car if you block garage), 2 laundry rooms, wifi, 2 flatscreen TVs with DirectTV are included.

This photo was taken during an Americas Cup and Fleet Week event at the Marina Green. Which is only 2 blocks from our home.

We lived in both flats of this building with relatives from 2007-2010. It was so great being able to enjoy the grandparents upstairs in their own flat, but have our own private flat to retire to when visiting time was over and we wanted privacy. The dining and living areas are very large, so it is so easy to host several relatives in one dining room, and use the spare kitchen for overflow cooking and baking. The detached unit on the bottom floor overlooking the garden and patio is perfect as an office or overflow sleeping bedroom.

I relocated to Tahoe with the family 3 years ago, but frequently go back to the building when I am itching for my San Francisco feel. I often stay in the building with 10+ people and we take over the joint! It is great to have a 'kids-area' in one unit, and an 'adult-area' in another unit so no feels like that are on top of each other.

Americas Cup teams and fans will find themselves two blocks from the racing activities. This amazing location means you do not even need a car. The bay, walking/running trails, supermarket, Starbucks, library, playground, and Fort Mason are all 1-2 blocks from the front door. And only 3 blocks away you will find the shopping, dining, bars and theatres of Chestnut Street. However, if you do have a car, parking in the garage for 3 cars is included so you don't have to worry about street parking and the accompanying tickets when you are on the street for over 2 hours. You can block garage entrance with a 4th car if you need to.

What makes this house unique

There is simply no other property on VRBO that offers sleeping for 14 people in the Marina of San Francisco. This property is over 3,000 sf and boasts great entertaining areas for dining in, but still has comfortable and quiet sleeping rooms.

Stunning Luxury Home Housed 12 Teenagers in Grand Style!

This incredible property was secured by our small independent school in Tahoe as a home base for 12 middle schoolers, 5 girls & 7 boys. Their San Francisco experience was greatly enhanced by such a beautiful, historic and comfortable home. It was wonderful, after a day of exploring the California Academy of Sciences, the deYoung Fine Art Museum & a performance of The Nutcracker by the SF Ballet, to come home to these luxurious "digs". The connecting floors made it possible to easily separate the girl's quarters from the boy's, while affording us the ability to enjoy communal meals in one of the spacious dining rooms. The 3 chaperone's sanity were saved as well by being able to enjoy our own bedrooms :) As we left the building on the first morning, the students were excited to see the bay waters shining so close to the house; easy to walk to! Your home has helped create an unforgettable experience for all. I would recommend this property to anyone, especially families, who wants to create the perfect San Francisco experience. Huge, comfortable, charming home!

My pleasant experience with this VRBO property began with the owners who were super responsive and efficient with the booking. We had two families of 5 stay here with a total of 4 adults and 6 kids staying in the property. It was so cool to have each family have their own place for sleeping and getting ready, but have a nice big kitchen and dining room for group meals. we ended up having the kids hang out upstairs to watch TV and play. And, us 4 adults hung out downstairs a lot. parking was awesome, too, because we could fit 3 cars. the outdoor patio was a bonus cuz kids played outside there and we rented bikes and stored 6 bikes there overnight.

10 adults stayed in this awesome property during fleet week. The blue angels flew right above our heads, and we were a 5 minute walk from the marina green and the army demonstrations. The centrality of location was simply unbeatable. we were able to leave our three cars at the property for the 4 days we were there, and we went on foot to all the bars and sights in the marina. owners were super cool, and there was plenty of room for the 10 of us to find a place to stay. i hope to book again with Deanna next year
