This lovely and bright, newly-renovated apartment in the attraction-packed Graça bairro is the perfect marriage of modern urban comfort and typical Portuguese local life. Boasting a spacious master bedroom with an adjacent dressing room and workspace, a single bedroom and a bunk bedroom that sleeps three, the apartment comfortably sleeps six people. A seventh guest can be accommodated in the single sleeper in the living room for an additional charge.
The polished grey granite kitchen is fully-equipped, spacious and bright, and opens up onto a West-facing balcony, offering you the option of indoor or al fresco meals, weather permitting - and in balmy Lisbon, weather usually permits! The balcony has an unobstructed view of the large Anjos swimming pool, always inviting on sunny days for a small admission price.
Equally bright, the adjacent living room is sparsely and comfortably furnished, and the dining room's ample table encourages you to unleash your Portuguese cooking skills on your guests. The bathroom is in brand new grey marble and white tiles, with modern fixtures and fittings. There is full wireless internet access at all times, but currently no TV.
The apartment is a mere 8 minute walk up the street to Graça square, hub of one of Lisbon's most perfectly-preserved and culturally-rich traditional neighborhoods. A further 5 minutes down Rua da Voz do Operário will bring you to notorious Feira da Ladra, the hilarious flea market held on Tuesday and Saturday mornings. An enchanting 15-minute stroll up the hill's winding, cobbled streets will bring you to the capital's most famous landmark, St George's Castle, while the street immediately above ours will afford you Lisbon's best - and best-kept secret - viewpoint, the Miradouro da Senhora do Monte - where the combined panorama of the castle, the 25 de Abril bridge, the Cristo Rei, the terracotta rooftops and the Tagus flowing into the Atlantic will simply take your breath away. While the next-door Lidl supermarket, adjacent local stores and small cafes on the street itself fulfill immediate needs nicely, Graça square offers the complete Portuguese shopping experience in all its rich diversity.
Guests love the historical location of the apartment while enjoying the understated urban comforts we've carefully chosen with them in mind. It is the perfect combination of local color and modern simplicity, and a welcome oasis from the bairro hustle and bustle - a place to unwind with a sunset glass of excellent vinho on a romantic weekend getaway, or to relax after a fun-filled but tiring day out with the kids, while being equally suited to longer spells of remote and undisturbed work.
The best way to reach the apartment - and to get around in general - is by licensed taxi. It's a 15 minute ride from Lisbon Airport, and a 5-10 minute cab fair from Santa Apolónia train station and the busy shopping paradise that is the Baixa. Taxis are reasonably priced in Lisbon, but a much more charming way to get home from Baixa is by traditional yellow cable car, with number 28 being the most popular and scenic route. While most people ride it for fun, to take photos and marvel at how the tram squeezes through the incredibly narrow streets at such a thrilling pace, you can ride it home! And if you're brave enough to rent a car and drive in Lisbon, street parking is a definite possibility, although you may have to drive up the one-way system a few times before you're lucky enough to grab one of the much-coveted and creative parking spots. And you can also take the Metro from Lisbon airport if you wish, our closest stop is Intendente.
We hope you love Lisbon and our apartment as much as we do, and look forward to welcoming you with a sincere smile and open arms. We promise to do everything in our power to make your stay thoroughly enjoyable and unforgettable.
Até breve e muito obrigado!

We are a winemaking family with a gorgeous vineyard in the Douro. We also love Lisbon and live nearby in Graça, so will always be on hand to provide assistance, suggestions and anything else you may need.
We think it is the perfect marriage of modern urban comfort and typical Portuguese local life, and lived many happy years here before moving to a property that could better accommodate our growing family.
You'll love the light from both East and West, the balcony and the quiet of our homely building. The traditional facade remains, but the building has been entirely and tastefully renovated inside, providing simple, urban comfort in a typical Lisbon 'bairro popular'.
