The 10 bedroom "Paradise" rental in Las Vegas is a great place for a large group. I can see softball or traveling kids sports teams really digging this place. My particular group was a "guys" trip and it fit us like a glove. In fact, we played so much golf and went out so much at night, that some even complained that they didn't have enough time to enjoy the house! The pros: 10 bedrooms. 10 actual bedrooms with doors. Yes, the second floor is subterrain, but it's nice. And everything was CLEAN. Like hotel room clean. The patio/side yard with the bar is sweet. Place where your group can chill and the second fridge is close by for coldies. The kitchen is perfectly sized. The dining rooms is really nice. Stylin' granite with comfy, leather chairs. Made poker and meals an "event." Lots of stuff to do (foos, air hockey, pool, pong, pool, hammocks, sand volley, horseshoe pits.) Wi-Fi worked well. The location is smack dab between downtown Vegas and Paiute golf course, which for us, was perfecto. Not many cons. Nit picky stuff, like no plastic spatulas, which nicked up my omelette plate, but no biggie. Owner even said to get one from Target and he'd reimburse. Dart board was not in great shape, but it's outside, so you expect some wear. Couldn't get ESPN in HD in the living room, but that coulda been user error. Again, not much to complain about. Owner let us check in early and check out late. He was readily avail via text and helped me more than once during our stay with any questions I had. As one previous reviewer stated, it's not exactly a "paradise", but it's pretty darn good. When you first pull up, yer like "hmmm", the curb appeal doesn't knock yer socks off. But once inside and around, it really fits the bill. If I were the owner, I would take off the part about summerlin and advertise that it's walking distance to Big Dog's Draft House! Great beers. Oh, and the Santa Fe Station is super close too. Oh, and there's a cat. We named him "Bob", he's a mouser. Thanks Larry, we'll be back next year...

For Christmas week reunion with extended family from all over the country we were looking forward to cooking together and using the house's amenities. Unfortunately the house was not at all what we expected and the vacation was a stressful disappointment for everyone.

This “serene and luxurious escape” is an unattractive tract house is not even in the advertised location: it is in north Las Vegas, not Summerlin, essentially in the middle of nowhere, not convenient to the grocery store or other necessities, and about 25 minutes from the Strip under the best traffic conditions. The “landscaped lot with lots of trees for privacy” has few trees, mostly dirt and sand, and no landscaping. A tree was chopped down and not removed; there was a shipping container and construction materials in back yard.

It has recently been carved up to create the ten "bedrooms" and additional, strangely configured bathrooms. The "second floor" is actually the basement; most of the bedrooms do not have closets or dressers, or anywhere to put clothes or a suitcase, one does not even have windows, only one (not three) has an en suite bathroom, and that bathroom did not include towel racks. Some of the rooms with king beds were so small that you could only access the bed from one side.

The house is not equipped as advertised. We had to completely stock it with detergent, paper goods, extra hangers and mixing/serving bowls, even a dish rack. The cooking equipment was inadequate and of poor quality -- the knives bent when trying to cut a carrot or anything harder than cheese. The gas grill was chained to the cinderblock wall around the property, so we could not move it near the house, and there was no propane. We had to eat all meals except breakfast out.

The pool & hot tub were full of leaves and the hot tub seats had what looked to us like mold. There was no volleyball or basketball, & the basketball hoop is in the pool. The pool and pingpong table & “professional bar” are outside, which was not disclosed; no “fitness room or gym,” no games, we purchased our own batteries for the TV remote, there were no cables for the dvd players. The TVs only get about 5 or 6 channels, NOT including ESPN or other sports channels.

There were no instructions about how things worked, no trash bins or recycling containers, and the property manager was unresponsive, and no one came to check on us or help with anything. We later heard that he was in California during our stay.

My family and I stayed at this rental for our annual NFR trip, and had the most HORRIBLE experience at this house. For starter's the house was not located accurate to the description, try North Las Vegas, not Summerlin. The photo's make it look like paradise- could not be farther from the truth. The house was so disgusting we spent as little time as possible at it. The floors we so dirty, you could see the grim, there were unchanged stained sheets on some of the beds, and you could have found better bathrooms at the local truck stop. We went and bought our own bath towels, and I would recommend bring your own toilet paper. We ended sharing rolls, because there was not enough in the house for everyone. The amenities, or should I say WHAT amenities, half the TV's didn't work, there was no balls to any of the games, and the spa and pool did not work. The kicker was the house cat that hung out by the front door and meowed. To sum it up, we had the worst experience imaginable staying at this house.
