I came down with my parents, took my Dad to the Stones for his 70th. This flat was central to everything SF has to offer. The cable car out front was uber convient, the clipper cards that Mike left for us to use were a huge bonus, thanks Mike. My parents loved having their own space, the apartment was spit spot, fresh and clean. Mike was lovely and helped pass along an important message to my parents after I had left. The beds were comfy, slept like a log! All in all a terrific place and if given the opportunity, I would most certainly stay again.

This apartment was a nice surprise we had on our stay. The building is very well conserved and the apartment is modern and very well decorated and furnished. It has everything you need and is minutes away from all interest points of the city. In addition to that the owner is very supportive and have us tips, maps and explanation on how eveything works in the city, which was of great value specialy if you're from outside the US. I recommend it and will stay there when back in SF!

Positive comments: Great location! Cable car stops nearby an added plus! Newly remodeled! Look past the building entryway.. the apt is much nicer. Negatives: No iron or ironing board available. No electric coffee maker. Beds were not very comfortable. Smaller bedroom mattress caved in the middle. Rug in livingroom is stained, too bad as apartment is well kept! Livingroom would benefit from additional seating. Only one couch and one chair. Overall, it was very conveniently located and a nice place to stay. Mike was very accommodating to work with!

Great place to stay for a getaway. Owner is very friendly and answered all of my questions. Place actually looks bigger in person. Only downfall was finding parking but besides that everything was perfect.

This is a great, small apartment for either two couples sharing or a small family. As others have noted, the location couldn't be better as it sits almost on top of Nob Hill with cable car stops right outside the door. The pair of transit passes that come with the apartment & San Francisco's outstanding public transportation system made getting anywhere we wanted to go fast & simple. This proved a triple advantage because not only did we not need a car; we also didn't have to worry about the exorbitant cost of San Francisco parking. The good thing is that being on the 4th. floor, the noise from the cable cars isn't particularly intrusive, even though the bedrooms overlook the street. Of course, if you're out of shape or have mobility issues, the bad thing is that same 4th. floor location as there's no elevator. The furnishings are simple, but comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, although a few more dishes might be a good idea. We found that it was usually necessary to hand-wash cups or dishes as we'd run out of one or the other long before the dishwasher was full. The beds are excellent: really comfortable mattresses & good linens.
And finally, a special mention for Mike, our host & his family who made themselves available to take in one of our bags after the airline misplaced it, thereby making it possible for us to have an evening out & then, on our last day, storing our luggage for us until our evening departure.

This property is a perfect place to stay in San Francisco. Great neighborhood and location. Central to everything. Only noise was from Trolly cars, but not bad at all! Would recommend to anyone. Only thing to be aware of is that the appartment is on the top floor so you do have to carry your luggage up a few flights of stairs. Appartment was clean and well-stocked. In-home laundry was a plus! VERY COMFORTABLE BEDS

My friend and I stayed in this lovely unit on the third floor for 7 days.
What a great location! Central to everything and easy access to public transportation for anywhere you want to go in San Francisco. This unit is located on Mason St between Jackson on the south and Pacific on the north. As you stand at the entrance the view of the water on both sides immediately puts a smile on your face.
We were supplied with the local bus cards i.e. clipper cards which made getting around the city very easy. The units are wonderful~ clean, spacious, and comfortable- great beds, plenty of storage for clothes and personal items. I really appreciated the WIFI . Home –away from home. Totally loved returning to our unit at the end of a busy day. Climbing the stairs was a little challenging but it is San Francisco after all!

When we stayed the building was under renovation and so the entrance and common area had not been upgraded. It currently does not reflect the fresh look of the units

Mike was very courteous, helpful and went the extra mile to ensure that we were well taken care of. Totally appreciated his warm reception and help getting us back to the airport.

I would definitely recommend to others. It is a wonderful alternative to a hotel.
I totally enjoyed my stay.

I stayed here for two back-to-back weekends and it was great. The building itself and the entryway is old and not yet renovated. It is at the top of the 4th floor with no elevator so not good for elderly or disabled. However, the apartment itself was like new, great views, clean, and very comfortable. Mike was very helpful and extremely accommodating. The location is perfect (on the cable car route, halfway between Fisherman's Wharf and Union Square.) Use of the transit card was invaluable. The two cards saved me about $40-$60 per day in transportation costs for the bus and cable car. Don't miss the Cable Car museum at the top of the hill - very interesting. It was so much better than staying in a hotel as I felt more like a resident than a tourist. I hope to stay here again when I am in town.
