My husband and I love warm weather, and all the activities that warm temps provide. The Gulf has always been a preference because of the lack of commercialism. We looked online for a property to buy for about a year and a half, then during a trip to Clearwater we got serious and contacted a realtor when we had several properties we wanted to look at. The ariel photo of The Shine House, seeing that it was remote and almost surrounded by the Gulf, was totally amazing to us. We didn't dream we could ever find a property like The Shine House, let alone own it. In all our viewing homes from Myrtle Beach to both East and West Coasts of Florida, we never found a property that had both Gulf views and Sawgrasses. I love to watch the sawgrass move this way and that from the gentle breezes of the Gulf of Mexico. The Shine House overlooks the Gulf to the West, so amazing, unobstructed views of Sunsets will captivate you every evening. Water views are amazing from every window in the house, sawgrass and water/Gulf views from windows facing North (Front) and South (Back) and The Gulf/Sawgrass views are from the West (Side) of the house. Aripeka has a population of only 500 people and is remote and quite removed from todays hustle and bustle of life in the 21st century. Visiting this quiet, sleepy little fishing village is like taking a trip back into time. Come to a place where the past and present meet, The Shine House in Aripeka, Florida. Aripeka has natural, vast forests of Cabbage Palm trees are still standing that have somehow remained untouched by man. Aripeka seems to be one of Florida's best kept secrets. This Gulf coast area offers abundant sea life, and fishing, that has been the draw to the area for years. Babe Ruth spent many winter weekends here during training camps in Tampa. The Wright Brothers spent vacations here as well. Aripeka has kept its natural resources untouched by man, so wildlife is still abundant here. Locals pride themselves in its quaintness.

We bought the house for its unique location 'IN' the Gulf of Mexico, and the house was a pleasant surprise that came with the property. We fell totally in love with the views from every direction, from every vantage point. Under the house, in the house, outside the house, on the front porch, sitting on the bench on the front sea wall, sitting on our own boat dock in our aderondack chairs, sunning on the upper south deck, looking at the sunset from the 60' long west, covered deck. I saw Dolphins playing in the Gulf while viewing the property. I was overjoyed to have found such a place, to someday live. The seclusion of the peninsula, the protected Sawgrass areas, where nothing will ever be built or disturbed, were all very important to us. Over populated areas are not appealing to us, so this property was simply amazing. Our neighbors have adopted us as part of the family. They are very friendly and neighborly. I love inside The Shine House's views of the Gulf from almost every room. Every room has Gulf and/or Water/Sawgrass views with wildlife so abundant, that a zoo would love to have access to. The Gulf is literally our front yard and back yard. When you sit on our boat dock in the back yard, you are actually sitting 'IN' The Gulf of Mexico. There is a swim ladder on the dock that allows you access to swim right there. So our pool...is actually the Gulf of Mexico. You can see the uninhabited island, rowing distance away, that has a sandy beach to sun bathe, in the shallow water, with 2 portable lounge chairs that are provided. Unbelievably private! We love, love, love the seclusion that the Shine House offers, but we also love that as remote as this unique property is, it is quite close to everything. Shopping is amazing, just 2 miles away. In fact, there are 125 restaurants within 6.5 miles and 6 Cinema complexes within 11.2 miles. No matter what you may want to eat or shop for, it is just minutes away from The Shine House. This property offers so much diversity.
