This unit is a fairly nice unit, but being on the island, it is a long way from most everything in Corpus Christi. There are a few restaurants in the immediate area, but we didn't find any to which we would especially want to return (other than Doc's and the one next to it ...forgotten the name ... but be careful of that one ... cash only). We didn't try to use the small pool. It was cleaned once while we were there (I think), but it generally had sand and debris in it. We rented this property because we have a dog and wanted a "pet-friendly" facility (hard to find). Apparently several other permanent residents
have dogs also, but their masters do little to clean up after them. Gotta watch your step ... night-time is especially dangerous. Even though there's a sign requesting, "Clean up after your pet," it's too bad others aren't more responsible. Others have mentioned that there is no Wi-Fi with this property. That was remedied while we were there. Wi-Fi now works. Thanks. Prospective renters might also be aware that the full-bath is downstairs. Just a half-bath upstairs where the bedroom is. For old people like us who have bad knees, it meant carrying clothes for the day downstairs when getting ready in the morning ... trying to eliminate climbing stairs so many times ... and moving in and out with suitcases was difficult for me. Might also mention that the queen size bed (kinda small for those who are used to king-size) is high off the floor. Almost needed a step-ladder. But it is also very soft ... a bit hard on a back that is used to a firm bed. This unit is reasonably comfortable. The dock on the water is quite nice, but don't expect to catch too many fish. They're there ... lots of fish can be seen jumping in the evenings ... but getting them to take artificial lures is another thing. While nice, the unit is small and somewhat outdated. Okay for a couple, but it could get very cramped for more than two people ... especially if you're there for a longer period. (We were there for three weeks.) The owner is nice and will try to accommodate you. Would we go back? Probably not ... but it was okay for us this once.

We had a very nice stay at this rental with our four kids. It was nice to have room for everyone to move around. The loft had a nice alcove for the pack n play and we had room for a cot next to the sofa sleeper downstairs. The owner has done some nice things to update the place, but there are still things that could be done. That said, they didn't affect the quality of our visit. There were plenty of linens and kitchen tools. The dock area provided a nice place to eat by the water. It was a quiet and private location (the unit is on the back of the building, so there isn't any foot traffic past it.) The beach was an easy walk that my four-year old had no trouble managing.

My husband brought me to Padre Island for my Birthday. We stayed at an awesome condo on a channel, with a pool and hot tube. The condo was very clean and cozy. We were only 2 minutes from the beach, where we spent a great deal there. We also did some fishing off the deck at the condo, and we caught a few :) When we come back we will definitely be back, and I want to stay at this condo again. I highly recommend this condo, you won't be sorry :)

My family loved our vacation! We were within a 5-6 minute walk to the beach. We loved that our unit's door opened right up to the canal. The unit felt very private. There were plenty of dishes, towels and linens. We loved that it contained a dishwasher and especially a washer and dryer! The unit was very clean and modernly decorated. Our family enjoyed eating on the island at Snoopy's, Whattaburger and the frozen yogurt bar, Sweet Swirl. The only complaints that we had were related to the condo complex. There is a really nice, clean pool/hot tub area, however; the pool was too cold (even for my kids) to swim in and the hot tub was just about as cold. Other residents claimed that the hot tub had not worked all year. Our other complaint was that one afternoon, everyone's water was shut off without notice and another afternoon, everyone had a note on their door stating that the water would be shut off the next day from 8am to 2pm. Fortunately, we were leaving that morning and didn't have to spend a whole day without water. Despite this, we would stay here again and recommend it to others.

This lovely condo on Padre Lake was our base for a months holiday in Texas.Situated on the water on North Padre Island near Padre Island seashore it was a super getaway location. My husband fished from the fishing jetty watched by Pelicans, I relaxed and sunbathed and read. Well equipt with all mod cons but furnished in a modern European style.The owner could not have been more helpful. From here we visited Big Bend ,The Rio Grande and the HIll Country . Texas is a wonderful retreat from the miserable UK February weather

The property was very clean; very interestingly decorated; perfect for our one bedroom condo needs. Upon notification by us to owner that kitchen stove a problem, she immediately began procedure to replace. Cannot express our appreciation of owners efforts enough; feel that the management of the condo units may be lax, however, there were ongoing repairs while we were there. If I were owner, I would monitor managements efforts very closely.

I had a wonderful vacation on Padre Island, and the condo was an added bonus!! The condo was very beautiful, cozy and relaxing. The area was perfect, right off the channel and just down the road from the ocean. I enjoyed swimming in the pool, and relaxing in the hot tub. Had a great time, I couldn't have asked for a better vacation. I plan on coming back to Padre Island!! I will be making arrangements to stay here again. I will be recommending this condo to all my family and friends.
