3 double bedroom 2 bedroom apartment sleeping 8 in Griante, Lake Como, Italy

This beautiful apartment (3) is set on 2 levels has four rooms and sleeps up to 8 people. The apartment has a modern living room/dining room area separate kitchen 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

At the ground floor level (internal access to lower ground floor level), there is large living room/dining room area (36 sq m). The lounge/dining room area contains seating for 8 people including a double sofa, widescreen TV (complete with English channels), DVD player and dining table and chairs. There are two patio large doors leading onto a patio and private garden beyond. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, 4 hotplates, kettle, toaster, fridge freezer and dishwasher. Also at the ground floor level is a double bedroom with patio door leading onto the terrace and bathroom.

At the lower ground floor level there is a second large lounge area (34 sq m), 2 bedrooms and also a second bathroom. Two bedrooms contain double beds, one bedroom contains 2 single beds and all have fitted wardrobes and drawers. The bathroom is complete with shower cubicle, toilet and bidet. Outside to the rear of the Residence is a private garage

A particular feature of this apartment is that it could be split into two for 2 families

Food and Drink: Where to go and what to eat or drink? Try anything and everything and give your taste buds the Italian experience whether in a 5 star restaurant or the local Osteria you will find a wide selection of excellent food and wine. Try Misultini the local lake delicacy, or Pizzocheri from the Valtelina region (north of the lake) and where in September/October the vineyards are open for wine tasting, so why not book an autumn break!

Shopping: The shopaholics amongst our clients are spoilt for choice as they can opt for the myriad of designer shops in Milan, chic boutiques of Como Town, luxury outlets of Lugano or Fox Town's discount shopping mall all within 45 minutes drive. There variety of shops are sure to satisfy every taste. Oh! and don't forget the tax free shopping at Livigno (2 hours drive) and well worth the journey.

Would definitely go back

We stayed in Appartment 1, 3 bedroomed, there were 4 adults and 2 children (10 and 12). The appartment was lovely, really big rooms, lovely living area with french doors onto a balcony overlooking the pool. There was a side garden area to the appartment with a table for outside dining. I really couldn't fault it, furnishings were modern, throughout and really comfortable. The environment outside the appartment was equally as nice, the pool is bigger than indicated in the photo, there are plenty of loungers and as it is a small complex of appartments it is really peaceful. The location, is set amongst the residential village which is lovely, a supermarket just round the corner and a 10 minute walk to the lake. It is an ideal location to explore the other towns dotted around the lake and to take the ferry to Como or Bellagio.
We all really enjoyed the appartment, the kids had a brilliant time in the pool and on the trips out, and it is equally as relaxing for the adults. We would definitely go back.
You could manage without a car, but it is definitely more convenient to have one.

A wonderful apartment

We stayed in Apartment Four and can honestly say that the photographs do not do it justice. The layout is excellent and the two living areas at ground and basement levels are very comfortable. Our two daughters (19 & 16) thoroughly enjoyed sunning themselves and swimming in the large pool. The apartments are set in lovely grounds far enough away from the lake to be quiet and relaxing but close enough to easily walk down to the ferry or to the restaurants close by. Matteo was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay kindly providing some breakfast items as we arrived on a Sunday evening. There is a shop close by that sells all you might need to tide you over until you can get to the supermarkets in Mennagio or Lenno. It is the perfect place for a very comfortable and relaxing holiday and we would have no hesitation in going back. If you are considering one of the nine apartments I would advise you to book it quick before someone else does.

A great stay

We rented two apartments to spend new year's day in Laco di Come (8 adults and 2 children). I was a great stay. The apartment was more confortable than we expected. With a spacious bedroom, a large living room, jacuzzi, sauna, swimming pool (not really useful at this period). Everything was perfect. There was enough place for the whole family and friends.
Otherwise, the owner was always available at any time.
Recommended for:  Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
