Great for Disney
My husband and I stayed here for four nights at the beginning of May, specifically to go to Disney World. The condo was fantastic--clean, comfortable, with everything you would need. The pictures are very accurate. The owners were very communicative and helpful, both before and after our stay.
Since it rained every day we were there, we didn't use the pool or any of the other resort facilities. Even in the rain, Disney is magical, but the best part was being able to come "home" from the parks and throw all of our wet stuff in the dryer! We were also able to bring our leftovers back from eating out and make our own breakfast, which was so comfortable and nice.
Disney was a 10-15 minute drive away, depending on traffic, and very easy to find just following the signs. There is a Wal-Mart about 2 minutes away, and outlet shopping 5 minutes away.
One nice thing my husband and I both enjoyed was that the condo overlooked the lake area and so in addition to a nice view from the living room windows, it felt very private. There is a pathway where people could walk to the pool, and since it was raining, maybe it was less crowded than usual. But in the mornings and evenings, it felt very peaceful and quiet.
We really enjoyed our stay and would totally recommend this rental to our friends and family. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Home Away From Home
This was our third condo rental since February and it was truly our favorite! Runaway Beach Club is a beautiful resort with many amenities. It's clean, well maintained and very inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool area.
The condo itself was even nicer than we expected. It's charming, very cozy and a true " home away from home". The owners, Gail & Wendy, are very accommodating and readily available via phone or email.
We found the location to be excellent. You are close to everything you could possibly need or want during your stay. We have already recommended the property to family and friends and hope to return ourselves as soon as possible. It's a terrific place to stay and play for a reasonable price.

My family of five looked forward to staying at the property location. We made several inquiries to the owner prior to traveling to the property for a family vacation. The owner was very pleasant in addressing all of our questions and easily accessible, promptly returning all of our correspondences. The property did not disappoint us for it was accurately described and the photos greatly reflected the cleanliness and well maintained area. The location was gratifying to my family for our scheduled agenda for nearby attractions and the Walmart, allowing us to have a relaxing and fun vacation. Of course we spent a lot of time visiting Mickey and Minnie as well as other Disney characters while in the area. We told several people about the location and the wonderful time we had as a family staying in such a cozy, home-like environment. We don't take vacations often, but this property location is still on our list for when we head back to Florida for any future endeavors.

Great Vacation Getaway :)
I decided to take my daughter down to Disney for an early Christmas gift and it was truly such a treat! The Condo was adorable and super clean and had a beautiful view of the lake. My daughter and I would take our morning walks throughout the complex every morning go to the parks during the day and relax at the pool in the late afternoon. I had never rented anything from VRBO before and always would just stay at hotels so I was a bit nervous at first not to mention a bit fussy. This totally exceeded all of my expectations! I will never stay at hotel again because this is so much more cost effective. I am planning a return visit in the fall with my daughter along with my hubby this time! Thank you so much for making this trip a memorable one for us!

YOU BETTER PASS!
Started out rocky and never got better. Now, in fairness to the owner, none of this was their fault. I'd say more of a management issue, but here was our experience: I was given the wrong code to get in the condo door at the outset. It took an hour and a half for management to get me the correct code. Meanwhile, I had milk, cheese, deli meat, etc., that I had just bought spoiling in the car in the Florida heat, not to mention a very tired and cranky 5-year-old. This was five o'clock in the evening after a day of airport and rental car fiascoes. I thought, well, we'll go to the pool tomorrow, relax, have a hamburger at the tiki bar, etc. The little one can play in the zero entry kiddie pool, I can relax, not be quite as guarded as I am when we're at a regular pool, so on and so forth. And I'm sure the kiddie pool is nice, and I'm sure the tiki bar makes a delicious hamburger and a refreshing cocktail. I wouldn't know because all of these were CLOSED!!!! Closed during SPRING BREAK!!!! REALLY????? So the whole reason I booked this place was for the kiddie pool and the tiki bar, none of which was available. The kiddie pool was closed indefinitely due to construction going on next door. The tiki bar was closed and oh, gee, "When we do get it open, we won't be serving hot food any longer; just chips." It would have been nice to have been made aware of all this before the reservation was made. Oh, and did I mention Godzilla was in the condo above us? Apparently Godzilla gets up at 4:00 a.m. Godzilla also doesn't go to sleep until 1:00 a.m. And don't forget the four air conditioning units outside of the bedroom window, one of which sounds like a screeching jet airplane spinning out of control, except it never crashes to silence. Also, the particular unit we had was adjacent to the cleaning staff headquarters, so each morning and each evening we had to listen to the cleaning staff's yelling and swearing at one another. Not impressed. Not happy. And will never be back.
Owner's Response: My sister and I are truly sorry that you had some issues during your four day stay at our condo. As I explained on the phone while you were waiting for the new passcode, the passcode problem has never occurred before and it certainly shouldn't have happened to you. I was happy to receive your texts that evening that once you entered the condo you thought it was "great" and you appreciated our courtesy of voluntarily refunding your $65 cleaning fee as a gesture of apology and that you would be "back again" despite your disappointment about no hot food at the tiki bar.
We feel badly that the kiddie pool was closed during your stay. The kiddie pool had to be closed due to necessary emergency repair of the seawall separating the lagoon from the pool, closed obviously for safety concerns. The repairs have been made, and the kiddie pool has re-opened to everyone's delight.
We are committed to providing our guests the best vacation experience possible. To this end, in the last three months we have purchased a new flat screen television for the living room, a new dryer, new bedding, pillows and sheets for the bedroom and additional decorating.
My sister and I have stayed numerous times at the condo and have never experienced the loud noises you mentioned, nor have we had any complaints from any other guests about it. However, the condo association will be installing new double- paned windows in the near future and that should take care of any possible noise.
Again, we are sorry for any inconvenience you experienced.

Worth a return visit
My family and I stayed in this condo for a long weekend in January 2013. We chose it because of it's proximity to Disney, it's amenities, the price and it looked nice in the photos. The condo exceeded our expectations- the photos do not do the place justice- it is even nicer than the photos ( I suspect some of the photos are old as there is a new flat screen television in the living room which looks different than the one in the photo. Also, the kitchen has some additional decorations that make it even more attractive). The grounds were well maintained and clean and the pools and sauna were first rate. The condo was also an easy drive to all the locations advertised. The owners, Gail and Wendy, were easy to work with and very helpful.
It was a great vacation for us and we look forward to returning.

Great place to stay!
The Runaway Beach Resort was a beautiful facility. It was quiet and yet very close to all the attractions, shopping, and restaurants that we desired. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Disney Family Vacation
This was our first Disney vacation and the Condo Resort was everything the owner told us and the place actually looked like the pictures posted. Everything went smooth from the arrival to the departure. The unit was clean and very well maintained. The property was very family friendly and the kids had a great time at the pool so much, they would ask us when can we leave Disney to go back to the pool where they met new friends. The location is ideal and there was food shopping, restaurants and things to do within minutes from the resort.Going to the Disney parks was so easy and convenient and we were just minutes away from all the action. I would totally recommend this property to family and friends for the price you cannot beat it.
