About Patricia Sales

My husband and I have lived here in Brevard most of our lives. I taught high school for years and retired in 2008. My husband is still working and plans on retiring this year.

Patricia Sales purchased this house in 2001
Why Patricia Sales chose Brevard

We bought the property because we loved the location and I love old homes. My mother lived in the house and my son and his wife recently bought their own home and moved out of the house in August. I decided to put the house on VRBO.

What makes this house unique

The fact that the house is located so close to the center of town is its most unique feature. It is 2/10 of a mile to Main Street. The house is also approximately 1 mile to the famous Brevard Music Center. The front porch is wonderful. It is a great place to sit with friends and just talk.

This is house is a true gem! It is beautifully furnished, well equipped, very well maintained, and the location is great - just a couple of blocks from the heart of downtown Brevard. The beds were all really comfortable. The owner was so helpful and accomodating. We stayed there for a weekend while my son was looking at Brevard College.

I highly recommend this house and we'll definitely be returning there later this year.

This was our first rental through VRBO so we weren't sure what to expect. The price was great so we took a chance. What a deal! We totally enjoyed our 3 night stay at this home. It was comfortable and clean and a I love the feel of older homes. We would choose to stay here again in a heartbeat. It was fun being able to walk to town and leave the car behind.

Three of us spent 3 days and 2 nights on a girl's weekend and had a terrific time! (of course, there's room to sleep 8 in beds) The house is beautiful, night was quiet, and the beds were comfortable! The upstairs bath is huge and has a seperate counter from the sink so that you can do your hair and makeup and your toiletries don't all get wet. Also, the location was perfect for getting on the Brevard bike path down to the Pisgah forest and Davidson river! We had breakfast on the back porch in the company of one of those famed white squirrels. We walked less than a mile into town each night for dinner. Pat and her husband are terrific hosts and even brought us a dvd player so we could watch the movie we brought along. We highly recommend this house and hope to go back ourselves!

This is a great old house that's been carefully remodeled, keeping its antique charms along with all updates. It was immaculate and very comfortable.

It's just 2 blocks from Main Street and close to Brevard College.

We had a fun weekend -- walking downtown to dinner Friday night at Square Root (lively restaurant and delicious food), walking back downtown Saturday to do some shopping (Moose Tracks shoe store, Theophillus clothing store, and Roost interiors among others), sitting on the front porch sipping wine in late afternoon and heading back downtown to Jordan Street cafe for dinner.

Also enjoyed a nice run from the house to Brevard Music Center and around the lake there, back through downtown.

It's a great house for a laid-back, relaxing weekend spending time catching up with good friends -- all in a fun and vibrant little town!

A Lovely Escape

Sitting on the back porch drinking our morning coffee and watching for white squirrels affirmed our choice of staying in this charming Victorian house. Our dog ran the perimeter assured he would find a way out; he could not! It's location is a few minutes from a wonderful supermarket in one direction and all the delightful shops of Brevard in the other direction. The owners are delightful and were very responsive to our needs. The house is impeccably kept. We debated staying in the mountains, but were so glad that we chose to stay in town and took quick trips into the mountains. Dont miss the delightful '50's style soda fountain at the drugstore downtown! We also had a fabulous dinner at a local Italian restaurant. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
