Great alternative to hotels

The location is excellent, a short walk to the Bayswater and Queensway Tube stations, which offer quick transit to the city center, and they are both in zone 1, which makes them a cheap trip. I was very pleasantly surprised at the large number and variety of Asian restaurants and Asian grocery markets in the area, even beyond Queensway Street (there are a few options for local food, as well, if you prefer).
The apartment itself was very comfortable, especially compared to a similarly priced hotel. There are several units they offer, so it may differ from the picture, but ours was actually better than the one pictured. There was a broken shelf in the bathroom, but everything else was in good condition. Reception was OK, but expect to have to wait around for a few minutes if they are not in the office. They also close for lunch for an hour or so, so keep that in mind if you are arriving or leaving around noon. Best to have their phone number handy if they are not around.
Our apt was on the 3rd floor, which meant a lot of stair climbing, which can difficult with luggage en tow or for disabled/elderly (I believe they have lower level units available if you ask). There is also a school a block away, so expect to hear plenty of children playing and screaming in the morning on weekdays. Also, the curtains were very thin, so it may not be ideal for vampires or other people of the night, but not a problem for most people who sleep at night and are up at daylight. Otherwise, it is a fairly quiet area, only 2 short blocks to a shopping mall, Tesco grocery store, and Boots pharmacy.
Overall, I would not hesitate to stay here again when I do return to London. It had everything needed for a short break. For a longer stay, it would be nice to have a washing machine, but otherwise it is perfectly acceptable.
