A home from home!
We stayed for 12 days in August at Bicycle Lodge, and this was by far the best rental experience either of us have ever had. Immediately we were very warmly greeted by Sharon and John, whose house is on the same site as the cottage. It was clear that they had spared no expense in making the property as comfortable as possible for their guests, as it was spotless, with every kind of kitchen appliance imaginable, beautiful furniture, and themselves were full of advice and recommendations for places to see or where to eat, which made our stay in South Africa that much more special. The cottage is seperated from the main house by a small fence, which gives guests privacy. Bay windows look out from the bedroom onto the beautiful garden, and at night it was lovely to sit out on the stoep and watch the sun setting behind Constantiaberg. The property is very close to the M3, which means that everything is accessible by car (necessary) in about 15-30 minutes, although there are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby in the Tokai and Constantia area. At the affordable prices offered, I thoroughly recommend the Bicycle Lodge to anyone planning an extended holiday in Cape Town, and wishes to experience life there as a Capetonian.

Owner's Response: We are always pleased when our guests discover that nothing really beats Bicycle Lodge on a lovely Cape Town winter's day. No wind, bright sun, sunbirds and fynbos.
