Affordable studio condo, fully equipped, across street from beach

Kihei Bay Surf is a cozy 2 story complex of 80 studio condos across the street from the beach. The complex is well kept and clean, with a great pool and jacuzzi area, complete with lounge chairs, 2 barbecues and tables, tennis court, laundry room, and plenty of parking. Our condo is a second floor unit, with private lanai overlooking the tennis court and pool area. Recently remodeled, it has everything to make your stay relaxing and comfortable. Kitchen is fully equipped with all you need to prepare your meals and dine in, coffee maker,toaster, crock pot, ice maker and blender for those drinks on the lanai! It has a very comfortable queen size bed, 32 inch flat screen TV, DVD player, cable, wireless internet, and phone with free nationwide and Canada calls. Pay per view can be arranged. There is a radio CD cassette player or you can play music Cd's in the DVD player, so bring your favorites. Dresser with 3 big drawers and a closet for hanging clothes, so unpack, put suitcases in closet, and stay awhile! There is an ironing board and iron, as well as a clothes basket for your convenience. Condo is uncluttered and roomy, with 12 foot of glass across front wall. With a fan in the vaulted ceiling, the air conditioner hardly gets used, as with locking front door security screen, front door can be left open and the islands ocean breeze flows right thru the condo. There are tennis racquets and balls in the closet, along with chairs for the beach, cooler, beach towels, boogie board, and air mattress for pool. Across the street is Kalepolepo Park and the NOAA Humpback Whale sanctuary. The sunsets are magnificent from this stretch of beach, that runs continuously all the way around the bay to the Maui Ocean Center, approx. 8 miles, making a great place for a morning walk or run. Lahaina is 45 minutes away, where you can take a ferry to Lanai or Molakai, or whale watching cruises, snorkeling trips out to Molokini.This complex is perfectly located and quiet and this condo is the perfect home base for all your Maui activities. Why spend your vacation money on expensive lodging when you spend so little time there anyway? Relax here at the Bay Surf and fall in love with Maui and all it has to offer.

About Patrick Reichert

We are Patrick and Catherine Reichert. We were married 4 years ago on Makena beach here on Maui, and have come back every year since for our anniversary. We live in Montana, and a midwinter getaway is much to our liking. Montana is very beautiful in it's own way, but there is no beach there! We are both self employed, making it a bit easier to get away for time out! I am in construction and Catherine is a hair stylist. Both our families live in Montana, and it is home, but we feel right at home when we're in Maui as well. We both thank you for taking the time to look at our listing and condo, and we hope you will decide to come and share this special place with us.

We stayed here at the Bay Surf in February of 2012 and had such a great time that we decided to purchase a condo here. We both love to walk on the beach, listening to the waves, looking for shells and watching for whales.There is 8 miles of continuous walking beach right across the street. We love the sunshine, and Kihei gets the most sunshine, and the ocean is a bit calmer here as well. Everything we need is close by, and our condo is comfortable and cozy, and the complex is well cared for and relaxing. You can find bigger and fancier places, but you won't find one more relaxing. Our unit is back from the street, making it quiet both day and night.

What makes this condo unique

I never like staying in a motel and living out of a suitcase. When we stay at our condo, we feel like we are at home. Once the shopping is done and the fridge is stocked, it's time to take a swim, lay by the pool, or find a beach to enjoy. We can eat out on the lanai and enjoy the cool breezes and the starry night sky. I can't think of a better way to unwind and relax.

Excellent Condo!

It is perfect condo to stay in Maui. It has every thing you need. Very clean and we were glad to see very nice furnishing. We traveled with a 4 year old and it was perfect for a small company like ours. I wish we had this condo last time and did not spend lots of money on fashioned hotel with the same kind of room. Rent it for your trip you will never regret about it.

We like location very much. Ocean is just across the street. It has small shallow area for kids and nice long beach. It was perfect location for us also because it was close to shopping and dining and not far away from Kahalui where you can find major stores like Costco, Kmart or Walmart. Local farmers market was about 5 min of driving as well.

Bottom line - we liked it very much and we consider this condo for our next trip to Maui.

Sweet Spot

My girlfriend and I were surprised at the size, its bigger than it looks online, it was a comfortable quiet place that had everything we needed. Kihei is a fun little town with nice beaches and a fun mellow nightlife. The owners were easy to reach and quickly returned my deposit, I would stay there again.

excellent location with private balcony. clean, cozy unit, but vrbo listing somewhat misleading. this is a studio, not a one bedroom, and there is no ocean view. property looks over large tennis court. ample off-street parking. owner very responsive when tv didn't work.

Great Maui Condo

This condo is nicely furnished and well kept. Very comfortable and quiet. This location provides a good central home base to go to Lahaina, Wailuku, Upcountry or even to Hana. There are many great beaches nearby this area of Kihei. Take a walk across the street and watch the sunsets. There are no parking or resort fees. Owners Pat and Catherine are thoughtful, sincerely want their guests to be at home and enjoy their stay. This place is certainly a keeper.

Me and my wife spent our honeymoon on Maui and in this excellent condo. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed for our visit. The nabours were really nice and we've spent many evenings by the barbecue and in the jacuzzi. The owner off the condo is really helpful and he has answerd all the questions we had. Perfect for your stay in Maui

My wife and I stayed here recently during our Christmastime visit to Maui. This condo is clean, modern, comfortable (pictures/description in the listing are accurate), & all you really need for your time in Maui. I also think this condo is an excellent value as well. The kitchen is well-equipped, but we didn't do a whole lot of cooking as there are ample good restaurants within a few miles of the condo. Having access to the pool was nice, as well as the tennis court which we used once (we were the only ones who used the tennis court during our 6-night stay, in fact).

The little extras within the condo were a pleasant surprise too - we used the boogieboard, noodle-floatation device, soft-cooler, beachmat, beach towels, & lawnchairs daily.

The location of the condo is ideal - lots of great beaches nearby, and it is centrally located for accessing all that Maui offers. We went all over the island, & really appreciated the central location of this condo in Kihei - convenient to get on the road to Hana, over to Haleakala, only a few miles to the harbor where the boats take you on whale-watching/snorkeling cruises, plus only about 45 minutes to West Maui as well. So the location is a definite plus!

The owner was very communicative with us & answered our questions quickly. I highly recommend this listing.

Lovely Maui Retreat

My husband and I stayed for a week as part of our honeymoon in Hawaii. The condo is beautiful, very clean, modern, and comfortable. It looked just like the pictures - actually the space was a bit bigger than it seems in the photos. The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need - we didn't do any cooking because there were so many awesome places to eat in Kihei (Monkeypod, 3's Bar and Grill, Coconut's Fish Cafe - the best fish tacos EVER) but were happy to have the coffee maker to make fresh Kona coffee every morning along with our breakfast. We enjoyed having the pool to jump into for a quick refresher - it was never very busy and all of the people we met on the property were friendly. The location of the condo is great - there are many beautiful beaches close by, and it is a central location for exploring the rest of the island. We did a lot of exploring - the road to Hana, visits to Paia on the North Shore, strolling through Makawao, and Lahaina, driving to the top of Haleakala -and I would recommend all of it. Maui is gorgeous. The owners are very pleasant and quick to respond to any inquiries and questions. We would highly recommend this listing.

Excellent Bright Condo

A nice bright studio style condo in Kihei - clean with well thought out provisions. The little touches are there, from the boogie board (that my wife used) to beach towels (which we borrowed as blankets to stay warm at sunset at the top of Mt. Haleakala). The cutlery and pans are of good quality, making cooking your own meals so much easier, the fridge is full size and the kitchenette has enough cupboard space to accommodate food purchases.

The owner is friendly and accommodating, and called us promptly at the time he promised so that we could make arrangements.
