This is the best house we've ever been.
Everything was fine and well working.
We loved the heated pool and jacuzzi and enjoyed to use the BBQ.
After some drinks at the nice Bars nearby we spend the rest of the evening to play billiard or just sitting at the patio in this very quite area
There is nothing to complane, everything was perfect and more than we expected.
We Hand a wonderfull Time in this hous and we will come again.

Just feel yourself relax

Fabulous villa and location.
The villa was spotless and the owners had thought of everything we might need to make our stay comfortable
Sitting outside at the pool was so peaceful and relaxing, and the fish were jumping out the water all day from the water way that ran past the back of the villa
Plenty to do around the area, and we especially liked Punta Gorda with its little shops in fishermans village, and the beaches were lovely and quiet .
Would definately recommend this villa, and the owners, who even although they supplied us with a information pack, were always quick to reply with any questions we had before we went

We agree that Punta Gorda is lovely for a day out if you want a little break from the Sunshine. We love sitting at the end of the pier at Harpoon Harry's watching the dolphins and boats in Charlotte Harbor. I'm also a great fan of the shoes in Ruby Slipper! The beaches on the island (not Punta Gorda) are excellent and if you visit again, it's great fun to hire a golf cart to tour the backstreets of the island and drive up to the end where they have the small, but excellent museum. Melport house Englewood Port Charlotte

We had a wonderfully holiday in Melport house.The directions from Tampa was excellent,and Rebecca's attention to detail was first class.The house was clean,spacious and very comfortable.We have stayed in many houses in Florida and never seen such a big pool deck with and a great hot tub.
The area is quiet and peaceful,but only 15 minutes to most places.5 minutes to Publics,10 minutes to Walmarts and beaches,15 minutes to Port Charlotte.We loved Venice,and at the end of the pier is Sharkey's restaurant,wonderful for sunsets.Boco Grand is another world,well worth a visit.Fishermans Warfe at Puta Gorda is excellent.Try Nicola's best garlic bread ever,and Mama's both great value.
We are seriously looking to go again.After Marco Island, Fort Myers andCape Coral,we definitatly prefer this area,after 5 weeks we were sad to leave.
P.S. Try a baseball game at Port Charlotte 7 Dollars.

It's a brilliant way to sight see the island and you can take the carts right up to the tip where the museum is. We've done the baseball and really enjoyed that which we hadn't really expected to . .it's so family orientated isn't it. Another good trip if you go back to Punta Gorda is to take one of the sunset cruises around the harbor. More reasons to come back and we would be delighted to welcome you back to Melport House! Many thanks for our stay in your lovely villa. It was better than the pictures and very spacious and clean. The pool area was huge and was very peaceful. Fishing on the dock was good, caught some red fish, lady fish abd cat fish. I would definately recommend this villa and hope we can come and stay here again for our holidays.

Lovely private and quiet location

We had a fabulous chill out week after 2 weeks in Orlando with my husband, daughter, son-in-law and 3 grand daughters aged 4, 8 and 9. The house is situated in a very private and quiet location but still only 15 mins or so to Boca Grande which is absolutely stunning and you practically have the beach to yourself! We made good use of the beach chairs provided and went to the Loose Caboose for lunch one day and icecreams another as recommended by Rebecca. Can really recommend! My husband managed to fit a couple of rounds of golf in and recommends Bob Cat as the best local course.
The kids loved the pool and the lanai was very large with a shaded and sunny area and plenty of seating. The house was very comfortable and well equipped and spotlessly clean. All cleaning products were thoughtfully provided. Rebecca seems to have thought of everything.
The journey to the house was very easy thanks to the spot on directions which were thoughtfully provided by Rebecca. We asked for a late checkout a couple of days before leaving and the management company said it would be no problem which was great.

We always try to go down to Boca Grande and dump the car and hire a golf cart and travel around the island that way. It's wonderful for exploring the back streets and you can drive right up to the end of the island where they have the little museum. It is a magical place and the ice creams at the Loose Caboose are fantastic!! We very much hope to see you back again.

Fabulous House!

Spent 3 fantastic weeks at your beautiful house. It more than lived up to the description, so spacious and everything we could have possibly hoped for.
We've been visiting the US for 21 years and I can honestly say this is the best home we've stayed in. Everything we could possible need was there for us to help us enjoy our holiday. The boys loved the pool table and it kept them occupied while we lazed by the great pool. The location is very quiet and peaceful, yet within 10 to 15 minutes of everything. We found the information you left really helpful. Lovely beaches nearby and loads of restaurants. We particularly liked Jacks in Port Charlotte and the Captain's Table in Punta Gorda. We even managed a day trip to Universal Studios. Fishing was really good, we caught sheeps head, red spot and alligator gar fish from the boat dock. Lots of wildlife too; turtles and even a baby alligator paid us a visit! All in all a fantastic holiday in a brilliant house, thank you so much.

Great Villa

This Villa was a perfect place to relax after spending a week in Orlando.
Getting to the villa from Orlando was very easy.
The directions and how to access the villa was excellent.
I have to thank Rebecca very much for this.
The Villa itself was very spacious and everything was better than any of the pictures could tell you.
The whole house was in immaculate condition. The bedrooms were all a very good size and beds very comfortable.
We had a great time in the games room and the pool was just the place to be after a long day out and about. The amount of space out at the pool area is second to none, you could spend your whole holiday/vacation out at the pool.
The villa is supplied with everything we needed for our holiday and my only regret is that we did not have a few weeks stay and explore more. The WiFi Internet also came in very handy.
Eating out or eating in were equally enjoyable. There are a lot restaurant's within easy reach of the villa.
Supermarkets like Publix and Walmart are a short drive away or Publix is only a 10min drive and the Port Charlotte Mall and Walmart about 20min.
I also recommend Joe's Pizza and China Wok take aways beside Publix.
Overall we had a fantastic Holiday/Vacation and want to thank Rebecca and Darren for sharing there Home with us.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Melport House to anyone.

Comfortable and spacious

Just got back from staying at this home. It was very comfortable and spacious for our party of six people. Everything is provided in the kitchen and bathrooms. The surroundings is very quiet and peaceful yet convenient to get to Port Charlotte. The weather was warm so the pool was loved by everyone so was the pool table!Would recommend it for family holiday.

great melport house

We had a few wonderfull Days in Melport house, it was very private and our daughter had a lot of fun in the Billiard room, good idea.
Alles war sehr großzügig, wir hatten sehr viel platz und waren fast die einzigen Bewohner der Srasse, also keine störenden Nachbarn. Mit einem Leihboot kann man bis vor die Haustüre fahren, und alles in allem ist das Haus gut ausreichend ausgestattet. W-Lan, perfekt. Super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
Alles war sehr großzügig, wir hatten sehr viel platz und waren fast die einzigen Bewohner der Srasse, also keine störenden Nachbarn. Melport House Review

Melport House was an excellent family vacation home. Everything in the house was in immaculate condition and all the appliances, pool heater etc were in good working order.
The house is very private and set in a relaxing environment on the canal. We have rented a lot of homes in florida and this is the best one yet.
