Super Charming, Super Convenient

Agree with everything earlier reviewers have said but have to add a few things. The word "Charming" does not quite capture the aesthetic high of being on this boat. The pleasant layout, warm wood tones, and exceptionally tasteful decor throughout make staying here a real "themed" experience--the theme being Early-20th Century Nautical Art Deco. Shades of "Some Like It Hot." Very romantic. And the two bedrooms are separated with a space between them, so two couples could stay here and feel like they actually have a little privacy. Great restaurants right nearby (have breakfast at the Lighthouse!) and of course the whole town is easily walkable from the boat. Though it is also good for families and friends and all kinds of groupings, I think its best use is as a "love boat." Ideal for a honeymoon or romatic getaway. Marvelous place for a party, too: 8 guests can socialize comfortably in the living/dining area. The listing says the Captain's Cabin has a "full" size bed but after staying here 4 nights, we are convinced it is a Queen because honestly we hate fulls and were perfectly happy in the Captain's bed. We think it's a ditto for the other bedroom.
Some practical notes: Definitely best to arrive in the daytime. Fridges are tiny and shallow but at least there are two of them (room for champagne, hoho!). There's a full bathroom on the dock that serves boat owners, which provides a handy "overflow" bathroom if you are entertaining or if the boat's tanks are full; it's clean and has nice showers. The Sausalito-SF ferry is walkable which makes it super easy to get to SF without a car (a car is a liability in SF anyway), BUT, be careful to check schedules and do not buy round-trip tickets unless you are sure the same ferry comes back from the same place at the right time. We had to go on one ferry and come back on another. Re cooking: kitchen is small and oven tricky to light. Best to keep the cooking very simple, maybe have bfast on the boat but go out for lunch and dinner.
