The London Eye, which is Europe's tallest ferris wheel and the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom, is only a short walk away. The Design Museum, famed for being the alleged first museum of modern design, is also in the area. Shakespeare's Globe, a reconstruction of the burned-down Globe Theatre, is one of London's best playhouses. Trafalgar Square, a public space that is often used for political demonstrations and community gatherings, is near to the apartment. Big Ben, the great bell of the clock at the north end of the famed Palace of Westminster, is just across the river.

Fabulous for a family or small group

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at the property with our 17 month old toddler and cannot recommend it highly enough.

The property was spacious, spotlessly clean, and extremely well appointed. Locationwise it is also fabulous - even at the slow pace of a toddler we could walk to Waterloo tubes and rail in little more than 5 minutes. There's a convenience store, off license, and takeaway directly opposite and many smarter cafes and restaurants around Southbank and Waterloo.

Communication from the owners was excellent and they provided us with all the information we could need prior to our arrival.

For those considering staying with a baby or child it is perfect. The travelcot was already set up and waiting for us, as was a highchair in the kitchen area. Ideally, one bedroom shares no joining walls with the kitchen/dining/living space so there's no need to sit in silence once kids are in bed! Also there's a lift so no need to carry a pushchair up stairs. There's a great looking park/adventure playground just a couple of minutes away which seemed to cater to a broad age spectrum though it was unfortunately too wet to use on our visit.

Our only problem at the property was the confusing underfloor heating system. We followed the instructions given but the heating in one half of the apartment kept turning itself off. Must have been on the timer but we couldn't figure it out!! Just a small issue though as everything else made it a great choice of accommodation and we will hopefully be staying again next time we're in London.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Very well located and spacious.

A nice large flat, close to Waterloo Station.
Little bite noisy when you are street side and you have to open windows on a hot summer night.
Our flat needed a fresh coat of paint. Kitchen chairs and mattresses will need to be changed to make the flat perfect.
Boutique London Lets are impeccable, they really care and are very well organize. The booking, arrival and stay went smoothly.

Convenience in London!

Flat was lovely and perfect location with short walk to several tube stations. We had no electricity on the bedroom/bathroom portion of the apartment the first night but someone came and fixed it the following morning. Heated floors and towel bars were awesome! There is a wonderful restaurant Waterloo Bar and Kitchen just down the street. Would highly recommend and use again if I were lucky enough to visit London in the future!

Everything That You Would Need

The apartments were very close to trains and public transport. London Eye was within 10 min walk as well as the River area and restaurants. Supermarket was close by. The apartment has everything that you would need. It's location is by far the best. If you are travelling around looking at the sights it is fantastic in that regard. We had a slight problem with arrival and no one to meet us but the manager was excellent and we got a 20 pound refund for the issue. Problems occur it is how it is dealt with that counts. I would use this apartment again.

This is a very conveniently located apartment that had all a traveller needed,close to Waterloo station,Westminster bridge and big BEN, borough markets and central London. Just minutes on tube to all parts of London and also great early morning walking around the area. Great apartment for two couples,clean and well apointed.Easy acess to shops,pubs and London eye. Definatly will Rebook when we return to London. Highly recommend.

Good location and Good for families

Good location apartment. Spacious and clean. Well equipped (just missing a clothes dryer). Great for families with kids as you can prepare a meal in the fully equipped kitchenette. There is a convenience store across the road so it is easy to pick up things like milk, eggs n bread. There is also a chinese takeout and fish n chip shop accross the road for a quick meal after a long day out sigtseeing. The washing machine temperature knob was missing, so I had to guess the temperature setting. It would have also been good if there was a dryer as well (drying racks provided in any case). We could not figure out the central heating and the many switches around the house, so it would have been good if the switches were labelled and we could have had some clearer instructions on how to turn off the heating as it was slightly warm at night sleeping. The mattresses were very squeaky and in need of changing. Apart from that we would certainly stay there again if we are in London.

Wonderful Flat!

Overall this was a fantastic place to stay. We were traveling from Ireland, not from home so when making the reservation we made sure it had a washer/dryer. Unfortunately as soon as we got in we tried to do a load of laundry and the machine was broke. We called right away and they had arranged for a service to pick up our laundry the next morning and the service dropped it off the same night! We did not like that we couldn't call the agency from the phone in the apartment. It cost over 20 Euro to make 2 phone calls from our cell phones. We ended up having to email the agency instead of calling. The responses were quick so it worked, but it would have been nice if we could have just called from the phone. The apartment was very clean, but the couches could be updated. This apartment is in a great location. Pretty close to the tube and if you have kids, there are two great parks close by.

Brilliant location, everything you need inside!

Fantastic location, accessible to tube and to buses, and walking distance from lots of attractions. Flat beautifully appointed, everything you could possibly need including coffee, tea, salt and pepper, washing powder, and toiletries. Just add fresh food, and you have a most comfortable home away from home.
Take care: make sure you have the local phone number with you for arranging the key access on the day - we mis-read the number (converting from overseas access) and spent longer than necessary in the rain.
Joy: Heated towel rails - warm dry towels, and we used for drying washed underwear also - a new thing for us aussies.
Wish list: Chest of drawers, storage cube or shelving in bedrooms. Blockout curtains in bedrooms.

A great place to stay for the family!

We were very happy with our apartment in Waterloo. It was an ideal location to base ourselves for exploring London. It was within a 10min walk to Waterloo station which meant you could basically travel anywhere. The apartment was a good size for a family of 4. Having a small kitchen and a washer/dryer was a big bonus and much appreciated. A supermarket was nearby and lots of restaurants to choose from. London Eye and South Bank were 15-20min walk away. We did have 2 issues during our stay. Firstly, despite following the instructions and ringing through from Heathrow, nobody was there to meet us at the apartment. We had to wait 45min for a key to arrive. After being intransit for over 24 hours, this was annoying as the kids were very tired. However, we received a 20 pound refund for the problem. This was instigated by London Lets not by us but was appreciated as a token of very good will. Secondly, on our final night the flat above us decided to have a party with 100 people! The noise and music until the small hours was disppointing. However, we do not blame London Lets, this was somehting out of their control. They were absolutley motified and I had an apologetic email by 7am in the morning and a personal visit and apology from the management and ended up with 1 nights reimbursement. This was over and above the level of service we expected. I beleive that this demonstrates a genuine commitment to customer service. I highlight this not to put anyone off using this service but to demonstrate how good the service was. Things can go wrong out of our control, it is how people react that truly displays their character. We would defintely use London lets again and recommend them.
