We enjoyed this rental very much. Very quiet neighborhood, nicely appointed home and a nice area of Florida. Only complaints would be the pool was very chilly and the distance from Lake Placid to the rest of Florida seemed substantial. Owner was great to work with and property is very well maintained.

A great place to stay! we enjoyed the peaceful setting and beautiful house! It was clean and exactly like the pictures and verbiage in the description. Perfect spot for us, and room for overnight guests in the loft with private bathroom! It was cold so didn't get a chance to use the pool but enjoyed the scenery and quiet location. The only recommendation we would make is to get Wifi as the daily trip to McDonald's to stay in touch was inconvenient. We will definitely recommend this property to others and will rent again in the future.

I was looking for a house that was on Lake June and most of them were booked for the winter. I decided to rent this house for myself, my wife and a friend that was coming on leave from the army. The house was VERY nice! The pictures don't do it justice. It was a 15min canal ride to lake June and about 15-20 min ride to Lake Carrie ( idle in the canals) Fishing on the lakes was very good for this time of year and found a nice hole which landed us 53 bass in about 6 hours!!!!
The house was nice and well taken care of. There was a pool but we didn't use it because it was way too cold. Close to town but far enough away to not be bothered. Plenty of room for a family looking for a house for vacation. Landscaping was nicely taken care of and pool was clean.
We rented the house for a fishing vacation. The house is at the very end of the canal with a nice dock to tie a boat to. Plenty of wildlife around. It takes a little while to get down the canal but after the first few times it doesn't seem long at all.
The owner was very helpful with any questions that i had and was quick to respond whether I sent an email or called. There wasn't any internet and my cell service(ATT) was kinda spotty. But overall it was a very nice house and neighbors were friendly. Very quiet neighborhood, perfect for a nice getaway!

We arrived on 1-18-2013 after a 2 hr drive from Orlando International Airport (I would suggest a closer airport) we were greeted by the turtles + 3 black river otters playing in the canal. The weather was a little cool so we didn't use the pool (bummer). The house is beautiful (the fireplace was nice since the temp's dipped to 48 at night) There was no WiFi or phone (cell svc was spotty, could have been the cloud cover) but it was actually very nice + laid back w/out the technology. You can use free WiFi @ McD's.
The food @ Dock 633 was reasonable + tasty. Overall we had a very nice week. Geno (the owner) was very helpful when I called him, I would definitely recommend staying here. Thanx Geno!
