The Kuakini Garden House is a great place for the cost-conscious vacationer. The house has a beautiful spacious upstairs unit perfect for one couple or family. There is also a studio bedroom downstairs with two twin beds, a bathroom (shower), and a small kitchen. The two-story house is surrounded by tropical gardens and a nearly perfect segment of the historic (circa 1850) Great Wall of Kuakini. The house is conveniently located less than a mile from the quaint Kailua Kona village with its restaurants, shops, nightlife, farmer’s markets, Alii Drive, historical landmarks such as the Hulihee Palace, the Kailua pier (where the Ironman race begins), and beaches.
There are two bedroom upstairs. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and the second bedroom a queen bed) and a bathroom. The downstairs studio has two twin beds. There is a covered lanai off the upstairs living room with a view of the ocean. This is a great place for enjoying your coffee while reading the local newspaper (If you wish, a daily newspaper is included in the rental). There's also a screened-in lanai off the master bedroom perfect for storing bikes, and exercising. You'll find a full kitchen complete with granite counter tops, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, a full range, 18 cubic foot refrigerator, coffee maker, blender, huge pantry, and all the dishes and utensils needed for in-home dining. Maximum occupancy upstairs is four people and two in the downstairs studio.
The units are not air-conditioned, however, there are ceiling fans throughout the house.
There's a 42-inch flat screen TV in the living room featuring Direct TV with SHOWTIME and HBO, and a BluRay Player. The studio has a 22 inch flat screen with Direct TV.
The garden backyard has a barbeque gas grill and for your laundry needs you'll find a large capacity front-loading washer and dryer in the backyard laundry cabinet.
Beach chairs, beach towels, and coolers will help you enjoy our beautiful nearby beaches.
Only the upstairs and the studio bedroom of the Kuakini Garden House are available for guests.
The owner and his family might be in the downstairs unit when they are on-island keeping the property maintained and the house beautiful.
Sorry, no pets are allowed and thank you in advance for not smoking in the house and on the premises. Six is the maximum number of guests and there's off-street parking for guest vehicles (owner's green truck is there too).
