Aahhh! Paradise, it has so many descriptions…..Utopia, seventh heaven, land of milk and honey, bliss, happiness, etc. Fortunately, for my husband and I, we recently visited the Big Island for a three-week vacation. We now know where paradise lies.
With that said, I’ll start off by saying the location of the condo we rented was ideal. The Keauhou shopping center is only a few minutes walk from the condo, and the Keauhou Bay is another short walk in the other direction. There, you can charter fishing boats or venture out on a catamaran for an afternoon of snorkeling. Did I mention you can kayak from the same bay?
The condo, or as we affectionately called it, “our bungalow ” was beautifully adorned with Hawaiian furnishings throughout. And with the kitchen being well-equipped, we rarely left our Hawaiian abode during the dinner hour. Why would we? Imagine…. tantalizing, Hawaiian themed ingredients sizzling on the grill, as a hint of the trade winds roll through. Only to be upstaged by the multi-colored sunsets and the fragrance of the lush gardens surrounding the lanai.
Dealing with the owners was a pleasure. They truly cared about our stay. The condo, overwhelmingly, displays pride in ownership and their love for this beautiful island.
Thank you, dear “paradise” owners for allowing us to share “your” beautiful oasis with us. We will be back!
