Beautiful & extremely clean home with excellent gulf view and only 75 steps to the beach. Fully furnished includes three T.V's, 1 King bed in Master bedroom, two Queen beds in second room. Comfortably decorated throughout and comes with patio furniture, grill, large upper and lower decks, among many things that are included. Will consider shorter or longer lease if needed. There is a common area next to the canal for RV and boat parking.

What makes this house unique
We live in Michigan but wanted an untypical getaway and we found this property and had the house built for us. We use this to recharge our batteries.

The beach and the temperatures drew us as it is not as scorching as lower Florida yet it does not freeze - close to where most of the oysters get pulled from - imagine 6.95 a dozen!!! Close to the Air Force base and Panama City. Not as densley populated as other areas and you can drive along the coast and actually see the beach for 12 miles plus!!!! We can park the car at house and walk to restaurants, grocery and beach in less than 2 minutes. Semi private access to beach.
When it is busy its not busy, groomed beach white sand, double sand bar( no rip currents) protected by Cape San Blas - if weather comes in we get to stay on beach and see rain in Port Saint Joe or Panama City. Small relaxing town.
I recommend raw oysters but especially the baked varieties at Reagans ( 6.95 Doz ) 1 1/2 mile east

very clean and quiet!

the house was very clean and neat. everything was as it was quoted in the listing, however, we misunderstood and thought there was a downstairs bedroom and an upstairs master bedroom, Both the bedrooms are upstairs with a walk through shared bathroom. But it worked out well. the house is situated about a two minute walk to a small grocery/housegoods store, we found everything we needed there. And we were a one minute walk to the seafood restaurant mentioned, the food there was good. the washer and dryer were a very nice amenity, will not rent again without one, they worked great. the upstairs deck was nice to view the awesome sunsets. and the beds were very comfortable. everything worked out very well and we were very happy with our stay in Mexico Beach. the only thing we were disappointed in was the outdoor grill, it needed charcoal, we were expecting a gas grill, and never thought to ask. the owner was very helpful and very understanding in that we originally rented for us and our dog, unfortunately our dog passed away and Dennis was gracious enough to refund the money we paid for her to come along. All in all, it was a great house, everything was clean, and easy to find. Cape San Blas, Panama City, and Port St Joe were close enough to go exploring and there was horseback riding on the beach and the shelling was better than Sanibel Island!! We rented a pontoon boat for the day and saw all kinds of wildlife and had a great time! The house is located centrally so you can easily find all kinds of activities, attractions and restaurants nearby.

Spring Break Vacation

This was a nice home to stay in and a great little community. The four of us had plenty of room and enjoyed time together and separate. We enjoyed both decks, the large enough living room and kitchen. We only sat at the table once, to go through our vacation purchases, because each night we went to a different place to eat. My daughters even got to participate in the local lounge Karaoke night! It was cold (we brought our northern state weather with us, I guess), but a much needed vacation and despite the 15 hour drive there and back, it was very worth it. The grocery store next door, being family run and owned was a big plus. I got the perfect unique gift for my dad. Many of the other shops were full of unique items along with the typical tourist items. Thank you, and we hope to return in the fall!

We spent the month of February here with our six year old golden. House was well equipped and very pet friendly. Location was very close to restaurants and the local small market.. Easy to get anywhere and we certainly recommend the place for a restful place to enjoy some down time. Bed was extremely comfortable. Great value and a good spot to use as a base for exploring the "forgotten coast". House was very clean and the owner was very helpful in the whole process.

This beach house is in a great location to the beach, groceries and restaurants. The furniture is beautiful and comfortable. It was furnished with everything a person needs and was of high quatlity. The mattresses are very comfortable and a King size bed always guarantees a good nights sleep. The owner was easy to work with and answers any requests or questions we had. We will rent again when we come back.

Beautiful escape!

This is a lovely home, clean & fresh & modern. You have to cross the US98 to get to the beach & this can be a busy road, but the beach is gorgeous & was almost deserted at this time of year. The townhouse is opposite Toucans & next door to Killer Seafood, with a grocery store next to that, so it is well located. We spent a very relaxing Thanksgiving weekend there & spent alot of time walking on the beach. There isn't really much to do at this time of year and I suggest you take some DVD's along, as the owner's videos only play on the bedroom TV's. The big downside for us was that there is no high speed internet and we had understood there was WIFI. There were several networks available round about but our laptops needed their security code, so that was a no-no. It was a big problem as my husband had a deadline, my daughter needed to study for tests & I needed to keep in touch with family overseas. The Visitor Centre which has complimentary WIFI was closed at the weekend. Do your research before you go as there isn't a guest manual at the property to give advice on restaurants or activities. Apart from that, we had a very enjoyable time & I would recommend this place to anyone who just wants to chill out. The Thanksgiving buffet at Toucans was brilliant!

Owner's Response: Thank you for the great review - we have been made aware of wifi change and have added private internet connection/wifi to our service starting December 2012. There is a dvd player in the entertainment center and I will update the listing if you open the boxes and read amenities there is a list of our favorite places to eat and things to do so future guests can have on their smart apps.

This house has a great location and you can see the beach. Great seafood right in front of the house. We just loved our stay. You can't ask for better people to rent from. The owners went out of their way to make sure all went well and we are thankful for their attention to detail. The house has everything you need and is very comfy. The large king bed in the master was very comfortable and felt great after a day at the beach. The only thing that I had trouble with is that I could never pick up a Wi-fi signal and that wasn't a big problem because there wasn't much time for that as we stayed very busy. Every place we ate was very good , Toucan's, Mango Marleys and Killer Seafood. Beach Pizza was also very good. We had a great time checking out Cape San Blas too and I recommend going there. Very Beautiful! Port St. Joe is very nice too. We had a wonderful vacation and we would love to stay here again.

My cousin and I thoroughly enjoyed our girls weekend get-away at Oleander! It was literally 75 steps to the beach like their title reads. The view of the ocean was so beautiful every morning from the master bedroom balcony. We even saw pods of dolphins swimming on a couple of the days right from the master bedroom! It was super comfortable, too, with all the ammenities one could ask for. The beds were soothing; the extra shower downstairs was a nice addition. The jack-n-jill bathroom upstairs was great. The kitchen came well equipped with everything you need to cook anything. Oh, and the outside shower was perfect for rinsing off after the beach before going into the house. The washer/dryer downstairs came in handy. This place had everything. About the location, we could walk just about anywhere. The little grocery store is right there. One of the best fresh seafood restaurants, Killer Seafood, is right there......and did I mention the beach right across the street??! I couldn't have asked for a more convenient, more comfortable place! Thanks Dan and Julie!

Great location directly across street from beach; steps from great fish restaurant and Toucan's Bar and restaurant. Very nice two story house, dog friendly and exceptionally clean. Nicely furnished and owner was great. A breeze to book and great owner to work with. We really enjoyed our stay.

Our family really enjoyed our stay. The proximity to the beach and a few local restaurants and the only local grocer were excellent. It had everything we needed and then some. The awesome front porch was a nice retreat in the evening and the small private, fenced yard was great! It is an excellent and convenient location. Hope we can stay again soon! Thanks so much!
