Photos and Description of the Nashville vacation house rental

'A home away from home.' With approximately 1300 square feet, the Girlfriends Getaway is one of the largest accommodations in the Historic Village Shopping District of Nashville Indiana. This unit comfortably accommodates up to seven guests in beds. It has three bedrooms (one queen and two full size) and also has a pull out sleeper. The Master Bedroom has its own full bathroom and a walk-in closet. One bedroom looks out of a large bay window down over the shops of Van Buren Street (the main shopping street). As you enter the unit, you are greeted with a nicely decorated spacious living room with a couch, coffee and end tables, two loveseats, two lazy-boy recliners, television, and a table and four chairs. It has an air hockey table. It's a great place to relax after (or during) a long day of shopping. Just down a short hallway is a Dining area that leads into a wonderful full Kitchen that overlooks north Nashville (through a BIG bay window) and has a four eye stove, an oven, a full size microwave, a full size refrigerator, a dishwasher, a double sided sink, a coffee maker, toaster, blender, griddle and all the utensils, dinner ware and pots and pans. There are two full bathrooms. One is a very spacious bathroom with a tub and shower and a well lit large mirrored cabinet and the other is slightly smaller with a stand up shower stall. Just outside the entrance door is a big common deck with table, chairs and two gas grills.

About Matt and Amy Gray

Amy and I have owned and operated the Iris Garden Complex in the heart of Nashville Indiana since 2003. Matt explains, 'We could have never dreamed up a better business for us. We spend our days making new friends and welcoming back those that have become our 'extended family'. Amy adds, 'Nashville really is a great place to live or visit. People just seem to be happier here.'

Why Matt and Amy Gray chose Nashville

This property seemed to be custom made for us. It is anchored with an Art Gallery that was established in 1959. This is the sixth Art Gallery that I have owned. My father is an artist of national acclaim by the name of Jim Gray from Tennessee. I have been a sculptor for many years and these days do more painting than sculpting. Our gallery shows the art and craft of more than 75 artists. The lodging side of our property has given us the opportunity to do what we love most, to meet new interesting friends from all over the country.

What makes this house unique

Owning an art gallery makes it easier to put in some really nice and unique art and furnishings into our lodging. The comment we hear so often is 'Oh my, I could just live here!' and that's how we want people to feel when they are here,.... at home! At home, only with great shops, wonderful restaurants and fun live theater within steps. It is a great combination that equals an excellent vacation experience.

What a pleasant place to stay. I mean we were right in the heart of the main street, a few steps down to the street and we were in any ladies "shopping heaven". I have to admit my credit cards were exhausted after three days. The weather was perfect, and the town is charming. we took a day trip in the country on a self guided "backroads Tour of different Artist workplaces. What a hoot - some of these places are really out in "the country". We came home with lots of unique items and a much relaxed attitude. But what you want to know is - how was the stay? There were 3 of us - and no sharing beds in this comfy space. We each had a bedroom and 2 baths - (no waiting in line-in the morning). A large living area to relax in and show each others our wares - and a full kitchen for that late night ice cream - and big cinnamon rolls (from the country store!) and peach salsa - this town even has a flavored popcorn shop! Snackers Paradise!! This is the place to stay when visiting Nashville. Matt & Amy have all the inside scoop on what to see and where to eat. Great Time/Great Place
