I had a very pleasant stay at Waterfall Studio just this past week. Karen was a delight and so welcoming. The studio is adorable, cozy, comfortable, and well appointed, and the location is ideal for anyone wanting to explore Marin or have easy access to San Francisco while avoiding the crowds of the city. The other reviewers were right about the comfortable bed! And the kitchenette is well maintained and has just about everything you need to make tea, coffee, warm up meals, etc. There's a Whole Foods about a minute away, and restaurants close by. It's really a lovely place. I will definitely be back.

Very enjoyable stay at the Waterfall Studio. Cozy, comfy and convenient and the bed is as good as you will find at a 5 star hotel. The owners are respectful of privacy and the neighborhood is quiet. Nice selection of poetry books too!

Lovely, cute, quaint, clean, quiet. Karen is sweet and she was quick and understanding with my semifrequent emails! LOVED the bed! We're usually cuddlers, but for once we actually had plenty of room because my husband, who is 6'3", didn't have to sleep all scrunched up like usual! Tucked away in the hills but close enough to the local digs. Great alternative to staying in a hotel!

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying in this idyllic studio for a few days. We never wanted to leave. The space is so cozy and beautifully decorated. It was immaculately clean and had lovely views of the mountains and Mill Valley. Karen and Owen could not have been more gracious. Also, that bed is magic. We can't wait to stay there again, hopefully for longer next time!

Better than in photos-- serene setting with a wonderful view, immaculately clean, convenient to Mill Valley, nice tea selection, sweet owners, and the owners' son made us an adorable sign that made us feel immediately at home. So enjoyed the stay... Oh, and the bed is the comfiest thing ever!

For the birth of my second child, since we were running low on space in our MV home, I rented the waterfall cottage for three weeks so that my parents to come and help out while I was in the hospital. I thought the pics looked cute, and it was right around the corner from our home so it seemed like a great fit.

But honestly, the room was so much better than I could have imagined. My mother raved about it, she thought the bed was ridiculously comfortable, the cottage well stocked, the views were amazing of Mt. Tam and the surrounding area, the hosts incredibly nice, accommodating and charming. It was a far better option than any hotel in the area.

Karen was even so nice as to call her personal AAA for us one day when the battery in my car died, since I was at home (carless) with the two kids. Now my mother in law is going back to stay there later in September. I couldn't endorse staying at this wonderful retreat enough - it certainly will be where all our friends and family who come to visit will stay in the future.

My partner and I along with my 6 year old daughter stayed in the waterfall cottage for 3 nights. The bed is ideally made for two people but we all got to fit in fine, it was quite spacious. I loved the outdoor setting, we were surrounded by gardens, redwoods, and bamboo trees. The air was fantastic. The room is very clean. Well kept by the owners. My daughter is quite sensitive with odors and she thought it smelled and looked very very nice. I thought so too. We didn't have a car as we were tourists but found the place accessible to public transportation. The Whole Foods Market and Safeway were close, and that was great. Bathroom was very nice and had everything we needed (Fridge, Toaster, Microwave over and pot) . They even threw in some really cool poetry books and DVDs of old movies to keep us preoccupied. The wifi worked fine and the desk was nice. I'm a writer and that was very important for me to have. A cozy seat and table. When you enter the studio you'll instantly get a feel of home, and that was the coolest thing about this place. You don't have to go out you can stay in and around the vicinity and you will have all the simple yet wonderful creature comforts... I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to get away from the noise and just enjoy the silence and serenity that only nature (and a loving family) can give. I would stay here again ...and again... and again. I am blessed to have found this cozy, beautiful, unforgettable space.
