Campbell River is reknown for it's world class fishing, but skiing at Mt Washington is becoming increasingly popular, as this mountain often gets more than it's fair share of winter snow pack! And in summer, guests can enjoy mountain biking and breathtaking views from chairlift rides. If you feel like a walk along the waterfront, Campbell River enjoys a well-used 7-km Seawalk, where you can also beachcomb or view cruise ships in summer months. If you enjoy hiking or running, Campbell River has many trails, often with old growth timber, lush greenways and rivers and streams. It's not uncommon to encounter wildlife while vacationing in Campbell River, much to the delight of guests!

Unique to Campbell River is Discovery Pier, a wonderful place for a little fishing, relaxing, or an evening stroll. On Sundays, it hosts Pier Street Market, a multi cultural event with an abundance of local produce, baked items, canned goods, and seafood options. You can enjoy artisans at work on their craft - carvers, jewelers, musicians, and the like. Refreshments are available. A popular spot for locals and visitors. Nearby is the Maritime Heritage Centre and Campbell River Museum.

Closeby our property is an indoor climbing wall. In season, you can pick mushrooms or snorkle with salmon down the Campbell River! Opt to visit Quadra and Cortez Islands, or the annual chainsaw carving competition where remarkable pieces of art are sculpted.

Fairly new to our area are winerys. We just toured one recently (Coastal Black) and found it a very enjoyable experience. The setting was beautiful, the tour informative, the staff very pleasant and the tasting room tasteful! One of our areas newest additions is Shelter Point Distillery, due to open May 2012.

Besides all of these activities, Campbell River enjoys a delicious mix of restaurants, ranging from casual fare to fine dining.
