A Fantastic Palm Springs Getaway

This was our second visit to Palm Springs, our first time at this property. We loved it’s location in the "movie colony" section of Palm Springs, amidst the former residences of Jack Benny and Estee Lauder. We were a stone's throw, literally a 2 minute walk, from Palm Canyon Drive, the main street of Palm Springs, with lots of restaurants (we particularly liked Café Europa for its fabulous breakfast) and shops and a Thursday night market. Also the Palm Springs Art Museum, worth checking out!
Overall, we really enjoyed this charming home; all was in perfect order, completely equipped, lovely furnishings, very clean and spacious, with plenty of space to relax and unwind- inside, poolside and patio sitting areas; well-kept side yards with native desert flora. We enjoyed catching glimpses of the little hummingbirds in the day and watching the stars at night. The heated saltwater pool was *great* and the open kitchen gives a nice feel, especially for casual entertaining and gathering with friends. Definitely recommend!!

The property is beautifully appointed and maintained with every amenity--lovely setting, complete privacy, large pool, wonderful landscaping in front and back with the mountains in view, attractively decorated, and super comfortable beds. It is in a great location which is near downtown restaurants and shops within a short walking distance, but not so close as to hear any of the noise...very quiet.
It is well set up with a patio and pool in the front of the house and a pretty patio in back. The owners left a great booklet of instructions, contact numbers and information about the area. There are large, modern TVs, DVD player, music set up--really everything one would want in a home. It is set in a very historical neighborhood which is charming and fun to walk around to see where the old movie stars lived in their beautiful bungalows and large mansions...truly a feeling of old Hollywood. Not only are there many restaurants in the area, but also The Palm Springs Art Museum, lovely shops with things for the home, as well as clothing boutiques and art galleries. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and absolutely would go back again and recommend it to friends. No complaints!

Truly a SUPERB month!

Honestly, this house could not have suited my needs more perfectly! Yes - the decor is a bit dated, but the house is really well-equipped, SUPERBLY comfortable beds, great views, lovely fireplace and complete privacy! The thing that's the best, though, is the superb, walk-to-everything location! LOVED being able to not get in the car for days at a time, never being at a loss for things to do! Also: The master bathroom shower is wonderful! REALLY good water pressure and I highly recommend that anyone looking for a perfect getaway in Palm Springs should consider this house!
