Our family rented this house for a week in April and had and excellent time visiting Little Garsparilla Island. Location out of the channel was good either going though the pass side or around to the bridge. Also getting back and forth from Eldred’s was easy too. Since we did not rent a golf cart having the boat right out the door and down the dock was the perfect set up. We had fairly good luck fishing offshore and did lots of catching inshore as well, in the evenings we fished off the dock a little, lots of action but mostly sail cats and lady fish. This was a great vacation and a great place to day we would recommend this rental to anyone how loves the beach and fishing!

My family (kids ages 5, 8 and 12) took a trip here for our spring break. I can't say enough about how great and helpful our hosts were. The house had everything we needed. There were plenty of beds and space (5-year-old loved the crab trap). The renters went above and beyond both leading up to our trip and during our trip to help us prepare and make us feel like part of the family once we arrived. The location is perfect if you are looking to unplug from busy and hectic life at home and spend quality time with your kids. We were able to explore the island on our golf cart, catch numerous fish off the dock, take walks on the beach, see the sunrise and sunset, enjoy our daily visits from dolphins, visit the library on the island and go on adventures on our boat to collect shells and watch sunsets on nearby beaches.

Everything about this vacation was fantastic. If you are trying to decide about being on the beach side of the island or having a location like this home, on the bay with a dock, I would tell you that the dock area was best for our family. The beach is a much shorter walk than it looks on any overhead map. It's very easy to get to. Having a dock to fish off of and a yard to play in was perfect. When you add the level of help and accommodating attitude of the owners, this is a one-of-a-kind place to stay.

The only bummer for our trip was that two of the seven days we were there, the weather was very cold and extremely windy. When you are packing for a trip, make sure to bring an emergency box of things to do in the event that it's too cold or windy to enjoy the beach and be on the water.

My family and I really enjoyed our vacation to LGI. The house was very comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. The island was very peaceful and couldn't be any more relaxing. Fishing from the dock was great! We caught enough from the dock for dinner one night! Thank you so much for a very memorable stay on LGI!

This vacation with my adult chldren, new daughter- in law and grandson was the BEST. The cottage was clean, well stocked and in a great location. Everything you read about Dock Envy was better then what was printed. There is nothing on the island so there was lots of family time. We took walks, went to the beach, fished and played games. If we wanted to go to the mainland Capt. Emmett with Pirates water taxi would come pick us up. I must say we only left the Island twice! The weather was perfect and at night we sat out on the porch with no bugs! In the morning I sat on the porch watching the sun come up, what a beautiful sight. I know that my family and myself will be back next year. This is 5 star rating.

We were down in that area for a birthday party in Boca Grande and decided to stay on neighboring Little Gasparilla Island. We did not have a boat so we took the water taxi from the marina when we needed to leave the island. The house was very clean and inviting. The owners even gave us a tour of the island! The beach is right around the corner and the fishing off the dock was awesome! Loved the seclusion of staying on the island. Definitely recommended!

We were three couples (and a big ol' hound) looking to escape Miami craziness for a weekend and we found it! The cottage was an upstairs apartment with plenty of room for everyone and all the little extras (clocks in bedrooms, all the kitchen you'll need, even coffee filters) that make a stay in a vacation rental ideal. We walked on the beach (dogs can go off-leash!), fished off the dock and pulled the deck chairs out into the sun and read our books. In short: we found what we were looking for.

Excellent choice for a low-key getaway. Clean, comfortable, and convenient to both bay and beach thanks to a golf cart included in the rental. Weather was superb through the last day allowing us to enjoy the convenience of our boat docked in front of the house. Owner and property representative handled all questions and even checked in with us once we arrived to make sure all was in place.
A wonderful experience - we plan to return!

This is a sanctuary in paradise! Upon arrival there were about 5 dolphin feeding within a few hundred feet and they rolled out the welcome mat for us! We saw dolphin every night. The home is clean, and has all the basics you could ever want, and is very "kid friendly". There is bright, happy art on the walls and a fully stocked kitchen. My two nieces (5 and 2 years old) loved the "crab trap" sleeping quarters. We walked the beach, went beachcombing for both shells and sharks teeth and rode bikes (not for the faint of heart!) and parked our boat at the dock. The fishing was over the top and thats all Im going to say so the word doesnt get out (ha ha!). The owners are very accomodating. We will be back for sure! Just lovely!!! A great place to unwind and "unplug" from the craziness of city life. Also, its a straight shot from Eldreds Marina and is easy access via water.
