High end ultra comfortable, peaceful spacious casita w/views of 3 mtn. ranges. A hidden gem.
What a find THIS one was! Bauhaus-meets-adobe designed by noted Chicago architect, James Nagle. All one level. High end finishes, appliances, and furnishings. Wood burning fireplace. Concrete floor in one bedroom w/radiant heat. Not one detail was overlooked; everything provided: cookware, coffee maker, hair dryer, washer & dryer. So comfortable.
And the VIEWS! They go on forever. You can literally see Colorado (and three different mountain ranges) from the enormous long portal furnished w/a table, chairs, a grill, a small refrigerator and two hummingbird feeders. We spent mornings on the portal w/our coffee watching hummingbirds, taking in the views and clean fresh air, leaving only to visit friends or pick up necessities. Who needs The Plaza with a peaceful mountain retreat like this? If you want/need to go into town, it's a quick and easy 15-20 min. drive. Take one of the two provided flashlights if you're returning after dark. There are no city street lights in the mountains and you have to walk from your car to the casita.
The photos of this casita do not do it justice. It is elegant yet relaxed.
The landlord/owner is intelligent, friendly and helpful if you have questions regarding restaurants, grocery stores, hiking trails, etc.
