Photos and Description of the Jamestown (Conanicut Island) vacation cottage rental

The cottage is a wonderful vacation home with 2 bedrooms that would be comfortable for 2 adults & 1 or 2 smaller children or an additional couple. Fully applianced kitchen with cathedral ceilings and skylight, washer/dryer, 1 bath w/shower plus outside hot shower at spacious back deck, private back yard, front porch, Wi-Fi high speed internet , bedroom cabinets, wood floors. The house is furnished with 1 queen & 1 full size bed and all kitchen utensils. Several swimming areas and small boat launch very close by. Golf course is 5 minutes down the road. Quiet and private neighborhood, about 10 minute bicycle ride to town center, plenty of off street parking. Located at East Shore Rd. and Decatur Ave. This is a great place as a quieter alternative to a busier town but with very quick access to those types of areas. Jamestown's a great place for bicycle riding, boating, beaching / swimming, walking, fishing or doing nothing. Quality restaurants, coffee shops and parks create a genuine village feeling at the town center. An easy 10 minute ride to Newport over the bridge for a day in the city by the sea or take the passenger ferry (bring your bicycle) to Newport and direct ferry to the folk / jazz fesitavls. This isn't rustic, some may say it's quaint or cozy, but I call it a small, simply beautiful island cottage that can make your summer a truly enjoyable one to remember. Bring your bicycles, kayak, surfboards / windsurfers, golf clubs, books, fishing gear or yard games. We have the grill and deck furniture.

This is a non smoking property. Pets will be considered.

This cottage was perfect for us and our 2yo daughter. The cottage is bright, clean, cozy and with all the amenities of home. We cooked outside on the gas grill and ate on the deck every night. The cottage has nice beds and lots of closet space and built in storage. It's really quite a cute place, we loved it. You do need to drive to the little beaches, but that was fine for us- they are 4 minutes away. Jamestown is such a gem. I feel like we unearthed a hidden treasure after spending our summer vacations on Cape Cod. Here there is no traffic, no crowds, no hassle. It's really perfect. Marty, the owner was a great guy to deal with and is from the area and lives nearby. I highly recommend this cottage- and we will be back.

If you are looking to visit Newport without all the hustle and bustle this is for you.
We stayed here during the recent America's Cup event and were so pleased by the relative peace and quiet of Jamestown, with it's quaintness and fine dining options.
The best way to visit Newport is to take the scenic ferry directly to downtown, it certainly less expensive than the bridge tolls and (impossible) parking.
The cottage is in impeccable condition.Marty, the owner, personally immediately came over from Newport to correct a minor problem.
Rentals of this size and price are rare on this beautiful island.
