Hollywood Apartment Rental Photos and Description

This exotic apartment is a hideaway amid the action and fun of Hollywood. The lush back garden is a wonderful place to read a book while enjoying a refreshment – the warm Southern California sun streaking through the tall trees. Staying here is worth a trip to Hollywood all by itself, but with the attraction of all that LA has to offer virtually blocks away, the apartment is part of a truly special house. A 1920's cottage with windows everywhere that let in beautiful morning and evening light, staying here is a wonderful experience.

Listed rates are based on a 1 or 2 person occupancy.

I have known this house since I was a child and always had a deep attachment to it. There is something magical about it. I am a world traveler particularly smitten by the equatorial regions. Planting the tropical garden made this a very happy place to return to when I came home from my travels. I lived away for years--first in the San Francisco Bay Area where I studied art and then in London where I studied fashion design but Hollywood and this house always pulled me back.

I live on the property, so it is more than a business to me. Decorating the apartment was an act of love. Designing and planting the garden (which continually changes) is an act of obsession.

Yvonne purchased this apartment in 1962

This house is a hideaway amid the action and fun of Hollywood. Wake up to the music of the birds. The lush back garden is a wonderful place to read a book while enjoying a refreshment – the warm Southern California sun streaking through the tall trees. Staying here is worth a trip to Hollywood all by itself, but with the attraction of all that LA has to offer virtually blocks away, Willetta is a truly special house. A 1920's cottage with windows everywhere that let in beautiful morning and evening light, staying at Willetta is a wonderful experience.

The separate apartment (which is the one available) made this rental a friendly place. When you are feeling sociable you can mix. When you want to be alone, you have privacy. I am happy when guests take advantage of the barbeque and the garden which makes indoor/outdoor living possible here.

We came to Hollywood for the first time for a gig my husband had on the Sunset Strip. We always look for places to stay where we can relax and truly enjoy. This was a beautiful place! After a couple nights in the city, this place was perfect to come back to, cook a great dinner and enjoy your own private jungle. We even had a potluck one night with Yvonne and her other tenant. She was so friendly, helpful and just a great host! We will not forget this trip! Thank you Yvonne for a fantastic stay, great conversation and the recipe for your sauce!!

My friend and I were fortunate enough to stumble upon Yvonne's beautiful looking apartment when searching for a better value stay in the Hollywood area and were blown away with what we found.

Upon arrival we were not disappointed, an apartment that had the feel of being in a quiet and relaxing area but was a short walk from Hollywood Boulevard and incredibly useful amenities! We could not have asked for anything more, Yvonne herself was incredibly welcoming and her neighbour, Michael, was a pleasure to talk to and also helped with any of our queries!

Being our first visit to LA this was exactly what we needed and way more than we could ever have asked for!

All in all a lovely home that you can come back to after a long day of exploring to really relax in, highly recommended.

A Great Getaway! Where Do I Begin?

We so enjoyed our stay here at the base of the Hollywood Hills that we didn't want to leave! The size and its many extras were ideal for our stay.

Highlights: Lovely neighborhood of prime real estate (read: a picturesque & safe enclave of beautiful homes). Super-convenient location. Close to Hollywood hotspots, restaurants, venues, parks, & the freeway. Wonderfully lush & very private yard with amazing landscaping. Well-designed decor with fireplace and incredible antiques from around the world, plus nice linens & tableware.

Our host Yvonne was fascinating, gracious, & delightful to spend time with. She had many terrific suggestions & fun trivia on the Hollywood Dell neighborhood. We had a great time with her and her guests at her fabulous home. Her tenant Michael was also terrific, kindly offering to help me up the stairs after I sprained my foot.

We'd highly recommend this rental, and would gladly stay there again! It's very casual, eclectic, & somewhat rustic, yet imperfect in a refreshing departure from cookie cutter accommodations. (I might change out the vintage bathroom tile sometime, but then again, I'm married to a flooring rep). All in all, it was most comfortable & met our needs quite well. We were so glad to have had the opportunity to rent this special gem!~*

My stay at the "Hollywood Tropical Paradise" was perfect. The place was charming, warm, comfy and truly "magical". The grounds truly are a tropical paradise - and yet it is centrally located in the Hollywood Hills just minutes away from the clubs and center of Hollywood. The best of all worlds. I highly reccomend this for anyone looking for something far more special and magical than any hotel! Patti N

romantic and unique place to stay with a beautiful garden

Everything that I needed-- comfortable, unique, and removed from the LA craziness. The tropical garden was so gorgeous--I spent a lot of time outside during the day but I was cozy inside and slept like a log in the big comfortable bed at night.
The location is great because I could get lost on walks around the peaceful neighborhood which is filled with incredible vegetation, or I could easily get down to Cahuenga if I needed anything from a store. Yvonne was also very cool, and gave me great tips about the area.
This place is special I felt very at home here, I was 100% barefoot and longing to move to LA after being here a few days. I hope to return again!
