We really enjoyed our stay here. It was not fancy, but we don't need fancy. Everything was there that you needed including snorkels (Wish we would have known!). The location was wonderful. We loved it. You won't find a better deal on the ocean for that price.
Unit was clean. My only complaint was that the ceiling fan was low and my husband is rather tall, so that was hard. we would stay here again and are recommending this place to our friends. :)

What a great vacation we had at your Condo. It felt like home the minute we walked in the door. The location couldn't have been better. We loved your Condo, everything you ever needed was there. It was so relaxing. Every evening we would BBQ at our own private beach and watch the sunset. Our fellow neighbors and guests were fantastic. Made a lot of new friends. Everyone is so respectful of your own privacy. Betty and Mike. Thank you for letting us enjoy your Condo. We highly recommend your place!!!

Located just a minute south of Kona, Kona Isle is the perfect vacation spot on the Hawaii Big Island. It is convenient to the north, south and East. The condo complex is intimate and yet the amenities are something you would expect in the larger hotels. The pool is beautiful and is ocean front. The property itself is well situated so that most of the condos have an ocean view. The builders of the complex were brilliant and made a beach in the front with lounge chairs, bbq's and picnic tables. At 6:30 each evening everyone gathers to see the sunset and to look for the green flash.

The best part of this condo is without a doubt the people. Many of the condo owners have been there for many, many years and are so very welcoming that you feel like you are coming home. My 11 and 14 year old daughters loved the freedom there as we felt confident to let them roam the site without worrying about their safety. I feel like we made many friends and will definitely be back.

Mike and Betty are wonderful condo owners. You could see quickly that they understood a vacationer's needs. Everything you could ever imagine was available: beach chairs, boogie boards, flashlights, and beach towels. I even found those little things that you always need but never have on vacation like scissors (and a good pair too!) The cleaning crew (Sandy!) was terrific and the condo was spotless.

Kona Isle is definitely a wonderful vacation place that is ideally located, wonderfully maintained thanks to a completely dedicated property manager (Brian you rock!), and has everything you need for a truly magical Hawaiien vacation. We can not say enough about it!

This place was great. Completely different from your typical sterile hotel experience, this vacation condo feels alive and cared for. A well-equipped kitchen, spacious living area, and a pleasant lanai where you can easily hear the ocean waves crashing and breaking against the shore. And there's super handy stuff tucked away everywhere you look: playing cards, batteries, packing tape, pans, kitchen knives, silverware, aluminum foil, salt, spices, extra lightbulbs, sunscreen, aloe gel, honey, even a bottle of gin! Pretty much anything you might need. I'm not sure if this stuff was all put there by the owners, or if it's just the result of all the guests; but it was very much appreciated. And, of course, I contributed to the collection upon my exit. Would totally stay here again.

Many thanks for the perfect place for our holidays. My husband, our 9-year-old daughter and myself liked your place very much.
1. The place is very neat and clean and provides pretty much everything you need during your vacation. Nice and convenient kitchen, laundry/dryer, bathroom, bedroom and living room. Plenty of things you need for the beach (towels, mat, cooler bags, toys, umbrellas).
2. Love the ground floor and the outside BBQ/tables. Enjoyed sunsets and outside dinners by the ocean for several times. Also enjoyed the heated swimming pool and the saltwater pool just outside the compound.
3. Convenient location. Closed to farmers market, grocery shopping and restaurants. Enjoyed almost every day snorkeling and swimming with wild dolphins in south Kona and boogie boarding in north Kona.
So we wish to come back again soon! Thank you.

The condo we stayed in was family friendly, very clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed in the condo and the kitchen was well supplied with all the basics. The condo was very oganized and was easy to find what you needed such as beach towels and toys. We really enjoyed our stay at the Kona Isle. The pool was clean and refreshing and the beach area's were great for relaxing or hunting for shells and exploring the sea life in the tide pools.

I would highly recommend the condo we stayed at the Kona Isle.

Condo was great with all the amenities. Grounds were lovely/great views and well kept up. Also very quiet, not touristy.The unit was nicely located and made a good home base for our travels. You will need a rental car to enjoy Big Island! We enjoyed staying here, but the beach right off the resort is not a good swimming beach, you will have to go further south or elsewhere in Big Island. Great experience, would stay there again.

My wife and I stayed here 8 nights in mid-November and were most pleased. Everything was as described in the listing. The local manager/repairman lives opposite this unit and provided a quick fix needed in the bathroom! The photos are faithful to reality. Unit C4 is in the middle of the south unit that has lanais facing the large lawn area to the north, so no sunshine problem here. It's only a short walk across the grass and then sidewalk to the ocean, where we sat often and cooked out (3 well maintained gas grills and the grounds are always well-groomed). Watching the yellow tang suddenly appear as the waves break was fascinating. We had one great sunset and several other nice ones. One day we climbed down to below the salt pool and reveled as a sea turtle dined on the algae between the rocks. We recommend the Green Flash for coffee and sandwiches a few blocks north, as well as the Rapanui Islands Restaurant near the pier in town for either wonderful vegetarian or meat Asian type meals. Kona Brewing is not to be missed for beer and food! The trolley bus runs often (except Sunday) up and down Ali'i (uh-lee'-e) Drive for $2 per person for each boarding (ride as long as you like, says the driver) so you never have to rent a car in Kona to get to the supermarkets, restaurants, etc. Otherwise it's a 2 mile walk into town. Magic Sands Beach is nearest, maybe a mile south. Taxi from Kona airport is about $40 plus $1/ bag. Road noise is very minimal, although on occasion at night a few residents talking/walking by the bedroom window would awaken us. There are virtually no children here (most are seniors) although they would be welcome and would enjoy the heated pool. Owners Mike and Betty are to commended for going above and beyond to make Kona Isle C4 a great place to stay.
