Photos and Description of the Belfast vacation farmhouse rental

Like Belfast, this 7 room home is a mix of old and new, gardens and art, fun and relaxation. It's nestled in a quiet neighborhood, 1 block from the Bay, a 10 minute walk to town, 15 min. walk to the park, pool, tennis courts, boating, fishing and more.

There are 2 separate living areas. The front of the house has a sitting room, simple office, bathroom with claw-foot tub and stairs to a bedroom, study, and bathroom with shower. The open kitchen, dining area, sun-room, is an extension on the back of the house where a set of stairs leads to a second bedroom.

Relax in the shade of plum trees or pick fresh herbs, raspberries, strawberries, and veggies if in season from the raised bed gardens. Non-smokers only. Stairways may be challenging for those with mobility issues and toddlers.

Lovely Vacation Home

I stayed in the home in early spring with my two young children and it was a very comfortable stay. The yard and outdoor seating areas is delightful on warmer days and the location is ideal for exploring town by foot.

The house is cozy and isn't drafty on cool nights. There are some interesting books on the shelves and a few children's toys, but the house is by no means cluttered. It's easy to arrive and feel right at home. The home was clean, well organized, and in good condition, but with the charm of an older home (arched doorways, beautiful floors, etc.).

Wonderful Belfast home

My husband and I had a mini Maine getaway at this lovely Belfast home. The house was comfortable,
clean, and in a quiet neighborhood with views of the bay. It is within walking distance to downtown with wonderful shops and restaurants. The yard has nice gardens and sitting areas and about a block away is a small stone beach on the bay--where we even took a quick refreshing dip. The owner was
very helpful providing us information on dining and sightseeing--we had some delicious meals and
thoroughly enjoyed this area of Maine. We hope to visit again.

Character-filled home close to water and town

My husband and I were initially seeking a rental on the water and only reserved this one after the waterfront homes were booked. Ultimately, this house, with its gorgeous garden, ample green space and sun-filled rooms, was the perfect choice for my family. I loved everything about this house and hope to be back next summer. I enjoyed all the different outdoor and indoor nooks for reading while my three boys climbed trees and enjoyed playing ball on the soft grass. We often walked to the shore to skip rocks or into town for ice cream and shopping. During a brief power outage due to a storm, the neighbors came over to drop off a candle and flashlight, just in case. I felt like we were getting a unique view of Belfast's past and present by staying in this old but lovingly updated home in a neighborhood where kids can still spend hours outside without constant supervision. Perfect for all ages, though due to narrow stairwells, I wouldn't recommend this house for people with mobility issues. Do not miss the Penobscot Maritime Museum in Searsport
